The netcode is back to being broken with this DLC which is my number 1 gripe. So many kill trades this evening and it just doesn't feel right, I would swear its all running at 10hz server side again.

I haven't had that issue at all, it still "feels" "fixed" from the latest patch (i.e. I haven't noticed it getting worse).

Well now that my son has only the basic game I see that there is an issue with joining a server with different DLC's in rotation. He can join sometimes but at other times not, even when a base game is currently being played. o_O

Sooo.... now Im looking out for a deal on Premium for him.

Yeah, this is crap. I am really sympathetic to these guys since they are really on the cutting edge of software development. So all the bugs and whatnot, I get.. in fact, I am really impressed at how well the game plays for being so complicated!

But the economics side of this, not being able to join servers even when a DLC map isn't being played is complete garbage.

So I wasn't aware of this until I got banned tonight, but apparently admins on the other team can read your squad chat.

Yeah they can see anything going across their server.

You must have made some interesting comments about them to your squad mates. LOL

It goes on sale about every other month on average. Probably more often as the game is getting older. Don't know if you're on reddit, but premium sales are nearly always posted in /r/battlefield4
Thanks, Ill keep an out out there too. Right now its $40 on Origin, but Ive seen it as low as $20 in the past so Ill wait for it to get back there again.

Actually I just told the squad I was in that our team sucked... Of course I was warned 2 other times for publicly stating the team sucked. I just had no idea they read the chat. I could understand if I had cursed in the text that they would see it but I didn't. Just makes me wonder how many admins/clans members abuse this while they're playing.

I think that to read team/squad chats they would have to do so in RCON. It would be kind of distracting and a hassle to try to keep up with all that while playing, but I suppose one guy could keep tabs on RCON and tell other clan members on VOIP, or TS, etc..

Pretty sad that they would ban someone over something so petty though.

Yep and it was ODIN too. I thought those guys were on the up and up.

Wow these guys get pretty upset when you call them out.. Apparently they keep an eye out on the forums since they upset so many people.

ODIN Amin said:
Hello,

First let me address your concern of us cheating to see your chat logs. Lolololololololol -taking breathe- roflmao

Seriously tho, as admin we use a program called procon that allows us to moderate our server from all aspects at all times. This is the nature of a moderated server which we announce when you join and had you read the rules. This is a function EA provides so feel free to go complain to them. I also recommend you go read your own post in ea forums naming and shaming us and review all the answers there from other players telling you the exact same thing.

When you join our server we tell you zero tolerance, yet you admit you were given several warnings. In your post in ea forums you even admit you continued to be disrespectful in squad chat because you thought admin couldn't see your chat. Well, we can, and you were held accountable for your own poor attitude and actions. Contrary to your beliefs, this is our server and no, we do not have to tolerate your negative gaming environment.

The audacity shown by you to not only try to name and shame us (let me tell u something, ea will ban your account if you continue making name and shame posts, then you won't be able to play at all, so I suggest you grow up and act like a mature adult...since you are supposed to be one to even play this game). You are not entitled to act a fool wantonly, and mistreat others in our house. We pay for it, we maintain it and we waste time on players like you that don't deserve our time. Just because you do not think you should have been caught and therefore should be immune to punishment doesn't make it true. You acted a fool, you were caught, you were punished...you acted like a spoiled child by naming and shaming us publicly (not to mention u look like a tool to everyone else) and again by "appealing" your ban.

Please, please, please waste ea time so they remove u from the game entirely, I don't wish your ignorance on anyone else playing the game.

Oh, and one more thing. This is a ranked server not an official server. It would behoove you to know the difference. In ranked servers we moderate how we see fit according to ea ToS. You were in violation of that ToS by disrespecting others and creating a negative gaming environment.

Enjoy the game and walk on.

fired this up this weekend for the first time in like 6 months

nice to see that the bug is still there where BF will use all your available ram and crash if you play it for long enough

Does it happen every time you play?

I know I'll crash like this once in a while, but not often.

I dont think Ive ever seen this and Ive played a lot on two separate machines. One has 16GBs of system RAM and 2x2GBs 670gtxs, while the other has 8GBs and an old gtx285 with 1GB of video memory. Of course I have my settings lowered on the lower spec machine, but have had no memory crashes on either that I know of.

So I tried yesterday to play this game after 6 months of non-use. I am a premium member but it won't let me download dragon's teeth no matter what I try. Uninstalled. This really cemented it as the last BF I ever buy.

Had a similar issue when Battlelog decided out of no where that DT and SA weren't installed on my computer, funny as i had played them hours prior to the nagging popups about opening the downloads in origin.

Had to go into the origin folder and delete the dlc folders containing DT and SA after the registry tweak known to fix this common issue didn't work of course and spend a good 6 hours redownloading lol.

I've been trying to figure that out myself. FRAPS hasn't been working for me since the last patch for some reason.

I doubt there's much of a performance difference to notice with 2x 7950s as I'm betting it's already running very smoothly - you'd probably find a moderate FPS increase if you measured it however. While it's best in CPU bound scenarios (afaik), some extra FPS aren't really noticeable if the game is already running well. The more tangible benefit would be to those running a game at 20-40 fps than those already running at 60+.

I get a lot of kill trades because I run suppressed a lot of the time and bullet velocity plays a big part in that when I have 2-3 rounds still in flight by the time I die.

Also, the Deagle is laugh worthy, especially on pistol only servers. Those servers are like this 1) those with deagles, 2) those with unicas unlocking their deagles, 3) those without deagles bitching up a storm about deagles.

I like the thing since you have to stop moving to get good accuracy with it. That and that it's probably still overpowered being a 1 shot headshot ko or a 2 shot body shot at most reasonable ranges.

That's why I don't like using the Deagle. But since everybody else is carrying it, I feel obligated to use it as well.
