That's why my quit ratio is kind of high. If I join a game like that, and it's apparent after the first few minutes that I'm also not going to help turn the tide, I just leave. I could be like the rest of the bums on the team and just camp in our uncap with sniper, but that just isn't my style. Games are fun, but there certainly isn't anything fun about getting based raped on obviously stacked teams.
 
Level has exactly nothing to do with skill in this or any other game. I was better at level 1 than probably 95% of anyone who is level 120. It all comes down to play time to achieve the level.

I at level 116 and still have well under 350 hours played most high level guys have over 500-600 hours.

One guy on a lockers server I play on has over 2200 hours and he's terrible.
 
What's your soldier name. I seem to remember checking once and you had some awesome stats.

But being over level 60 means you've put in enough time with the game that you probably know the maps well and understand the game mechanics. Whenever a new expansion comes out, I do worse until I learn the maps.
 
This whole week for me has just been playing on teams where whatever flag myself and my squad is on is the only point getting captured. And between the AWS and the SR2 ho's the game is just quickly getting old. My KDR is 1.8 and my SPM is around 700-750 but my W/L ratio is dropping like a rock from shit teams and poor players. I cannot for the life of me figure out WTF they are doing.
 
Oh man, some clan full of terrible idiots [GRID] recorded me. Said my video is going to be on youtube and that I'm going to be banned from BF4 soon once they send it to dice. Poor me.

They are pretty good for Carrier Assault and Conquest, but I dont really care for them for any of the other game types.

My 2 cents (coming from hardcore pov)

Carrier Assault mode is full retard. It's basically conquest with a rush match tacked on to the end. Whoever breeches the carrier first will win 90% of the time, and it's just a CQC cluster fuck inside, but hey some people like that. If you do just play Metro/Locker instead.

The maps themselves are pretty, but they all play out the same for the most part (ie 4 new versions of Paracel Storm). Op Mortar is probably the most distinct, in that the B flag makes for some great infantry fights since it is inaccessible by boats.

Ah, yes, the boats. They rape anything and everything. Thermal sites on a cannon and 2 miniguns plus a rep bitch. Not to mention acting as a mobile spawn point. If that's not formidable enough, try shooting a rocket at them with a billion bush wookies waiting to oneshot you. C4/SLAM usually isn't an option unlike with land vehicles. Javelin actually has some usefulness now though.

Transit between flags can be a problem if your squad doesn't have one of the aforementioned boats, particularly on Nansha Strike's outer islands. Trying to swim or using the RHIB or hover craft is just asking to get owned as there is no cover. Laying waste to open vehicle crews and swimmers with a bipoded 240B is my new favorite hobby though.

FWIW the carrier assault depends heavily on the server. There are people who get it, and I've had some really close matches where neither team can hit the engine room mcom. You nearly always lose the first one. If you're on a server where people don't immediately get back when you are breached, yah it sucks.

The attack boats are a bit on the strong side. You need your air doing full time boat duty, or actively hunting them with your attack boats. They've always been kinda OP but it didn't really matter before since they were so limited.
 
Thanks for the feedback on Naval Strike. Sounds like a mixed bag.

Went ahead and ordered Premium anyway - at the discounted price, I'm hoping I'll get at least some value out of it.

EDIT: GamersGate is out of keys but charged my CC anyway. Not cool.

Agreed with everything you said, with the quoted being the exception. As a decent attack jet pilot, nothing pleases me more than blasting those boats out of the water in one pass. They might have active protection, which they hit as soon as my laser guided missiles are on the way. So my missiles did no damage, no matter. The 30mm guns still take care of the boat on that same pass. It's even more gratifying when said boat has 4 occupants.

I've played rounds where the enemy simply avoids even getting in to their boats after their first couple of attempts.

Fair enough, I play strictly from the ground and don't touch the aircraft. It is rare that I've seen jets be any more than a nuisance, but I guess with the lack of MAA on these maps they should be more effective.

I just hate that I usually end up having to suicide so that I can get back to the carrier to defend it, since the other team will immediately be paradropping on to it. It is nothing like Titan mode from 2142 which it was touted to be essentially.

Ive tons of fun playing Carrier Assault with plenty of close games. Full 64 player servers can become a locker/metro type of meatgrinder on the carriers but if I cant get to my opponent's MCOMs then I'll switch back to flag capping and try to sink their carrier the old fashioned way. For the best experience look for games with player numbers in the 16-48 range.

Attack boats aren't all that hard to take out if your team has a few engineers with javelins.

Lost Islands is the worst map of the bunch for getting around on, no cover and little water craft make that map miserable.

I throw SLAMS in the water all of the time, especially if I'm riding in the back of the boat repairing.. It just sucks on Hardcore when I end up tking....
 
What pistol are you guys using? Been doing some pistol servers for that phantom assignment but everything is so horrible inaccurate. I want a CS Deagle 😀
