Same. No more sound loop errors, and I have been able to play 2-3 hours straight without any crashes for the last 2 days. SLI/crossfire seems to be having lots of issues though.

I haven't played more than 2 hours since the patch but I also have had no crashes or sound issues since patch. Just laggy netcode on some levels.

Why don't people follow squad orders? Set an objective and everyone does something else except follow the orders.

Pretty pointless to be squad lead.

People follow squad orders? Get some guys on skype and make a squad and maybe they might work together.

I´m trying to optimize VRAM usage at 1440p with a pair of 2GB 680´s. What settings should I look at lowering first apart from MSAA? Or in other words, which settings are actually worth it at ultra compared to high? I definitely get some stuttering if I´m completely maxed out at ultra, and it goes away as soon as I disable MSAA and HBAO (Vram usage goes under 2gb), but then my cards aren´t really stressed, so I feel like I´m leaving eyecandy "on the table" so to speak. I´ve tried setting resolution scaling at up to 120% without MSAA and that seems to get me over 2gb also.

With my 2GB GTX770, I've just kept Texture Quality at High and MSAA disabled. Pretty much stays at under 2GB.

Yeah, probably could have slightly more eye candy, but I honestly can't tell the difference without looking at screenshots side-by-side 🙂

Turning the vegetation detail down to the minimum definitely makes the maps a lot clearer and easier to see people hiding in the hills.

...it also makes a lot of the new maps look like complete trash running around when the ground is just a repeating leave texture with minimal polygons. 🙁

I'm pretty disappointed this was even an option to adjust for anyone. Really infers a huge comparative advantage but make the game look way worse.

I play at 1080p and keep textures on high. Vram stays just under 2gb, but something tells me that the game would be a little smoother with more Vram anyway. I still get a little scope zoom stuttering sometimes for the first couple times zooming, then it gets smooth. Seems like a texture swapping thing to me.

In regular mode, snipers and campers get highlighted on the map and I can sneak up behind them and knife them.

Yup, harder to spot and one hit kills with no headshot. Doesn't help that the hit direction indicator is bugged and it give you the wrong direction a lot of the time.

How about netcode? Are things less buggy in that regard too after the patches?
Seems better actually. The only kill swap I had was when I lobbed a 25mm grenade and got killed while it was still obviously in the air. No more kill swaps at 5 meters with full auto weapons.

True I haven't had that happen, but I do still empty a clip hitting nothing but air and when I play it back in ShadowPlay I was spot on with my aim the whole darn time and the bullets appear at least to go through them. So there is still hit detection issues in a big way.

I thought kill swapping was a feature that they intentionally added way back in Bad Company 2 or something. I thought it was supposed to make it more realistic. So its not supposed to be in there? Kill swapping happens with sniping easily, and given the bullet travel time I think it should.

Post it, if I had to guess you started shooting before you were ADS (giving you hip accuracy), then went ADS still shooting and expect ADS accuracy.

It was definitely a bug I understand long distance/slow projectile kill swaps like sniper, rocket, M320, etc. However it was happening -frequently- at very short ranges with very high projectile weapons. Less than 15M with carbines/LMGs/assault weapons.

This was fairly rare in BF3.

Just have to keep watching, I picked it up for $19.99. There was a deal with McDonald's going at the time.

As for the game, no more crashes and it seems to be playing pretty well. The netcode with this game though is still worse than it was for BF3 or BC2. I find myself doing a lot more compensating for the bad netcode than I did in the other games. I guess you kinda get used to it, but it's pretty obvious when playing.

All I know now is that I get a nice freeze every time I die and now a lovely bug where the revive options stay on the screen. Honestly, Dice broke as much if not more than they fixed.

Their regression testing is piss poor for basic things like CF/SLI texture and flickering issues, bugged revive prompt among other things.

Time for some of you guys to brag.
What is you highest kill streak?

Surprised mines at 15. Don't remember killing more than 8 in a row though.

From what I've seen if you dont accept the revive right away, you wont run into the bug.

This last patch has made everything worse for me.

More crashes (somehow i played like 4 games without a crash just a bit ago) im starting to think is server specific.

And i have to turn off crossfire.

Also i think the "netcode" is actually worse. Feels like im playing hardcore now.

Anyone else notice that grenades can now be reloaded by ammo boxes? (throw all your grenades, stand by ammo box, they come back -- it used to NOT be like that)

Its amazing how many little stealth changes they sneak into these patches, and how can they possibly test how all this affects balance in such a short time?
