Try the tips from the reddit thread. Didn't help me but you never know. Just got a new crash, started out like the regular sound loop crash but ended going back to desktop with a DX error:
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed. "). GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series", Driver: 13.11 (13.25.18-131107a-16468E-ATI)

Check the link I posed about 10 posts up. It fixes most crashes.
 
Lately NVIDIA driver 331.82 crashes on me few times and not allowed me to quit the game, therefore I have to manually restart my comp. This is the message: "Nvidia Kernel Mode Driver 331.82 has stopped responding and has recovered issue"

BTW, I saw Childs and AKWolverine on The Lazy Bastards server earlier (I was on the same side).

At one point there was probably 10 of us on there at the same time that I knew of.

Strangely, the only reason I was on the server was cause I joined your game. Then I couldnt get in your squad, and eventually got moved to the other team. 😛

I always thought DMRs were OP, and I started to unlock them for the first time tonight. Just center mass and spam, and they dont have a chance. I dont really even need a sight or a grip. Got almost 300 kills in a few hours. I only have 1.5 more DMRs to unlock, but so far the SKS seems the best.

The guns I just cant get into are the LMGs. They seem slow and inaccurate.

I hate getting killed by DMRs for sure. Its always pew pew pew with heavy suppression as some noobish punk spams you to death. Ive been trying to use them in a more gentlemanly fashion by camping and going for one shot kills to the head. :biggrin:

The only LMG that works for me is M249 SAW, the rest are wildly inaccurate.

I was on there early on for one round before I was called away by the missus. I told Childs "lets join Count Chocula's game". We do but he gets on his team and of course I get switched to the other team that is getting spawn trapped and rolled. I saw a team mate begging Childs for mercy in chat, was that you? LOL

Whats your Origin name? Mines DeathDealer7177.

I managed 2 full rounds last night before bed but this morning it keeps crashing again. Still a bunch of different directx errors.

I've updated/installed VC2012, DirectX, .NET 4.5, all as administrator. Clean install of the latest Nvidia drivers. Set all my OCs back to stock. SLI on and off.

Not really sure there is anything else I can do about it.

The real pisser is that beta ran great for me.

DMR's = Not really worth it at the moment. They need a buff, though, the SKS might be worth it in certain cases because you can spam it and still keep on target.

DMR's get out classed easily by assault rifles, especially with the SCAR-H. The good thing is that it is a good time to unlock the DMR's since it is 2x exp.

If you want a 1 shot short/medium range weapon, go for the scout, M40 or even the shotguns. If you want faster speed, go for assault rifles or the ACE-52.

The M249 is a great starter LMG, possibly even the best LMG. The one I prefer is the MG4 as it can reach out slightly farther than the M249.

SCAR needs a serious nerf.
 
What is the best way for a noob to gently get into multi-player battlefield? I've only played offline fps and I'm not that great.

Do you think the premium service will drop below $40 again anytime soon?

I'm using the upper system in my sig. Is it normal for my 7970 fans to spin loudly during the campaign? I was using the medium setting and my system is not overclocked.

I have no problems with the DMR in hardcore, which is what I usually play. One or two shots and they're dead. Then they bitch and complain...
