In BF3 I key bound spacebar for pitch with the jets. Now it seems like pitch is split into two buttons now? Pitch up and pitch down? I'm not sure how to bind them into one, if that makes any sense.
 
I finally decided to use my 100% XP bonus last night. Man, you rank and achieve unlocks in a hurry that way. I've almost unlocked the full med pack finally, but I have been bouncing between classes pretty frequently. On another note, I love how the scout helli feels much more responsive than the BF3 version. Now, if I could just get some unlocks......
 
I'm guessing this has been asked but I'm curious if I will run into any problems playing BF4. My system specs are

ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Microsoft Windows 7 Pro
Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.4GHz with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600
EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 670 2GB
Crucial M4 128GB SATA III
WD Black WD1001FALS 1TB

Also where is the best place to pick up BF4? I saw GMG had a 20% coupon for a while but that has expired.
 
At 1080p, you should have no problems. I actually removed one of my 670s last night and didn't actually change any of the settings (still running Ultra). It isn't as smooth as before, but certainly playable. I will probably tweak it some to maintain 60FPS though.

A single 670 isn't terrible in this game.

it was always that way, you want pitch down

its a bit broken

no matter what I rebind fire to, space bar always fires the cannon on the jets

You didn't need windows 8, just disable core parking in win 7.

I thought it was broken because nothing was taking damage. I was literally unloading right onto infantry's heads, and not even a hit register. The only thing that registered any hits were choppers, and it was very weak. Those AC-130 guns are seriously useless. Feels like the velocity is too slow making it hard to lead targets and damage is non existent.

Really? Wow I feel so silly now. I'm so stupid haha. DICE should have recommended Windows 7 with core parking disabled rather than recommending Windows 8.

I run at 1080p on my 660Ti perfectly fine. I've had a few lock ups, but I can't attribute it to anything other than shitty coding on Dice's part.
 
lol I run 1600p on a 2GB 670 and have no issues Mid-High Settings with no AA I get 50-60 FPS, that High SPeed Memory thing everyone was talking about also works well, I OC My memory from 1600 to 2133 and saw a 10 FPS increase in performance.

This is what I get with my rig and current bf4 settings. This was taken during a domination match.

so some initial impressions

its pretty. when its not freaking out

battlescreen is half broke

commander mode needs help, you have VERY little information on what a squad is doing, you have to select them to see what orders they have



the maps are too small

the only ones that feel right to me are golmud and locker


paracel is way smaller than it should be, we already knew shanghai was too small


I like the layout of most of the, esp resort and lancaum damn, they just need to be bigger

like 1.5 times the size they are now

i havent played on dawnbreaker yet, but it looks tiny


floodzone feels super small and cramped, so does zavod


rogue transmission feels OK, its acutally perfect for conquest but needs a bigger CQ Large mode IMO



+1 to the transport helo guns being too useless

and the miniguns on the littlebirds

the ac130 is better than last game though, with the actual flightpaths instead of a loop, but only the 120mm cannon is useful as far as I have seen


gun play on hardcore with no spotting is pretty awesome


I am still not sure about the battlepack system verse what they had before, but alteast we get an OK amount of them

I've posted a few times about them. It'll take a full inventory to take out a helicopter.

Have you run into the range fun, where you can't lock above 350-400 feet?

Its odd because the chaingun on the simple boat is devastating, but the ones in the choppers are weak. Even the anti air vehicle gun is weak compared to the boat chaingun.

They nerfed the AA and AT weapons so much. I've hit two helicopters with the RPG (yes, with no lock on; I've had my Carl Gustav practice) and each time, they lived. I hit a tank with 3 before it killed me, and it still had around 15 health.
 
Tried to play tonight on my friends rig but was constantly crashing, after it finishes map loading but before the deployment screen is displayed. Video drivers are updated to latest. Any ideas?

I5-2500, 560Ti, windows 7 64/bit

I think a lot of us get crashes right now. Its a game problem and should be worked out in time. I don't crash constantly though. I'd say update drivers but you probably already did that.
 
I'm probably the lucky one that hasn't had any sort of Crashes in BF4, there's the random hiccup but it seems that's server side, even in SP I ran the campaign in one sitting 6h straight no crashes, I was amazed how good my Card was behaving, can't say the same of BF3, to this date it still randomly crashes on me in MP
 
Does anyone know if you can chain xp boosters? I haven't used any of them yet, and I think I want to try to unlock the shorty 12g. Can I enabled a bunch of 25% boosts at the same time to have a cumulative effect?

Stupidly weak. Most of the time I get 3 stinger hits on a chopper before tehy fly out of range and heal. Today I helped Bacon take one down playing while playing Rush, I saw him blasting away at one while in deplyoment so I changed to stingers and spawned on him to help. I dunno how many times he had already hit it but I hit it twice more before it went down.

Ive taken a lot of hits from stingers while flying the scout helos with very little damage at all, and I dont even use the maintenance upgrade!

I don't know, but I want to get that shorty 12g! It just looks OP. I have actually been getting more pistol kills lately, because I don't reload after every bullet is fired. I find myself having to switch to it and blast.

Popping a 50% XP bonus and another bonus would be nice if it stacked.
