Gully,
Do we have room on page 1 for an Anandtech forum users server listing?

I can put it in the blue box in the OP. Pm me a link to the server in NBaattlelog,a short description, and a contact here at Anandtech.

Yeah there's no reason why anyone should pay $59 for the game then another $49 for premium, who pays over $100 for a game? At one time I bought Return to Castle Wolfenstein for $89 and it was worth every penny since I played it online for nearly 10 years- BF games are only going to last 2-3 years until the new one comes out. Wait til it drops in price like it did with BF3 (I didn't have premium until last year when it dropped to $25), even then that was when I quit playing BF3. I'm not even bothering with BF4 thanks to how DICE handled BF3.

$100 for a game for over a year+ worth a play is awesome deal. Not sure what you are talking about..the whole post makes zero sense.

If you think 10 years worth of play is only worth $89, do you have carry a binder when you go grocery shopping full of coupons?

$.135/hour of gameplay is my current rate at BF3. What a rip.

I've gotten my money's worth and then a lot more out of BF3 plus premium. Bf3 is one of my favorite gaming experiences so I am looking forward to what BF4 has to offer. As a grown man with a decent job, I don't mind paying for a premium if the quality is there. With the exception of closed quarters, I thought the premium maps in BF3 were excellent.

Apparemtly, why someone doesn't want to pay $100 for a video game doesn't make sense to him either.

It doesn't make sense, seeing as though people blow that on games they DON'T end up liking every year for the most part. Like its been explained countless times, you pay a measly extra $45 for 5 expansion packs + bonus stuff. That is pretty awesome deal no matter how you spin it.

I think you need to look up the definition of the word "opinion" then recognize yours isn't shared by everyone. Maybe then all these posts that don't make sense to you will be easier to understand.

LOL, you just don't get it. You reply with "If you worry about cheaters you will never enjoy a online game." No shit, Sherlock. If a person doesn't want to play online, then what's the reason for him to pay for the premium? Quit trying to rationalize someone else's purchasing habbits with your own dumbass logic.

I have a core 2 extreme x9650. This CPU should be okay I think.

But I only have 4 GB of RAM and still using a Radeon 4870. I'm okay running on medium settings, but WILL I be able to with my current setup? Should I upgrade to a R9 270X or something?

4870? I would forget about even trying to start the game with that. It just doesn't have the performance. On top of that, I highly doubt these were made with anything more than 512MB VRAM.

bought it with discount from greenmangaming - downloaded and installed Capsule which is their downloader/installer but it doesn't download. I log in successfully, click download which changes the button to resume. When I click resume it says Preparing download... and just sits there with no significant network activity.

EDIT>> Now it says Downloading but still no network activity.

Good luck.

In the Origin app I click Add Game then it gives me an Open dialog for files on my PC. What am I pointing that to?

You're supposed to "redeem product code". Then enter the serial number in the email sent to you by GMG.

You should then see BF4 in your Games library. Click preload.

In BF3, you can designate servers as premium and presumably, if you do not have the premium pack, you can not join.

In BF4, I only bought the base game but have not premium. Does anyone know if they will have "premium" servers from day one? And if so, will I be able to join them (I most certainly have all the maps through the first expansion).
