I didnt think you could do it either. I tried diving in the beta, but I thought it would be either mouse look or space to control depth. Using crouch or prone is kinda weird.

It feels natural once you try it, it's prone for down and jump (space) for up, just like on land.

Honestly, AI "intelligence" is night and day vs. a game from 10 years ago. Go play one from 10 years ago. It is easy to make it so that AI can just laser kill you from across the map when you step in range, it is it hard to make AI look somewhat believable.

STALKER: ShoC was developed in the mid-2000's and has far better AI than any BF game has ever had.

Same for Crysis and even F.E.A.R.

AI with scripting that lets NPC's evaluate distances to cover and speed of approach, with the ability to flank and even receive input from other NPC's, as well as use some pretty advanced navigation techniques.

Battlefield for the most part has none of those things. They design AI to basically bob up and down behind an anchor or run along a strictly defined path. You can see they're still using it in the video.

I remember just standing there watching it in BF3's single-player campaign. Guys just bobbing up and down, using the same animation over and over.

No big deal, though.....DICE invests in the MP side of this game. That's what it's all about. The SP campaign is mostly just a showcase for some of their rendering tech.

Twitter on my phone, I could not get it to display the whole URL, I gave you all I could see, that may have been the whole thing,or not.
I gave enough to find it if you wanted it. ie, gj FastX 🙂

Yup, yup, no worries, just an FYI.

Video looks good. I can't help but think there was a lot missing from the beta in terms of graphical fidelity. It was good, but nowhere near as good as the video makes it look.

Does anyone think Battlefield 4 would sell a lot more copies if it was sold on Steam too or would it not make a huge difference ?

To me I don't care.

Unlike most games I don't think it matters a lick. Which is probably why EA keeps it on Origin. If not for Battlefield, no one would even install Origin methinks.

Green Man Gaming has Battlefield 4 Pre-Order (PC Digital Download) for $60 - 20% off with voucher code TAREM-BF4NA-BOOM1 = $48.
Ttry it and let us know how it goes.

someone else also said that ended at 10am ET today. I tried it at 11am and it would not even accept the code. But it could also be because I've never ordered from them before - another criteria others were mentioning.

TAREM-BF4NA-BOOM1. This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with another voucher, valid on Battlefield 4 NA ONLY. Valid until 1500UTC 28/10/2013.

TAREM-BF4NA-PROMO. This one however, ended today.

I wasn't able to get in on the PROMO one but I received the BOOM1 code early today and was able to buy it. I guess the amount of complaints from people made GMG realize that people still wanted to get this game and decided to make it available to everyone who has purchased something before.

I just used the BOOM1 code on gmg and it was successful. And yet, I still feel dirty. I was going to wait to purchase when the price was closer to half off but decided, wth, I spend that much a week on gas.
Now, the question is, when can we get premium for half price? :hmm:

Premium on BF/CM will probably be 30+% off.
Regular copy is already expected to be 50% off on BF at GameStop.
