After reading some of the comments, I'm really concerned my gtx660 isn't going to cut it, even at medium settings... I guess I'll find out tonight.

I still can't get the game to install, so anyone who actually played, can you confirm there is no blue or any other tint like in BF3?

I only had time to play one match before work this morning. I just set everything to ultra but disabled MSAA and was getting between 80-110 fps at 1440p with GTX 680 2GB SLI and 2600K @ 4.5GHZ for the brief time I joined a 64 man server that was full. I´m on the latest beta drivers released yesterday.

Is it just me or are the graphics exactly the same as BF3? I only played for about 10 minutes but that was my first impression.

Anyway, I´m sure I´ll have more to say once I get some more play time.

I'm having a lot of stutter with my GTX 680 and the latest drivers. Gameplay it's interesting, the RPGs move faster so it's easier to hit the helicopters, which is nice because damn there were a lot in the air all the time.

What did your VRAM usage look like?

I think it was about 1.3 GB according to PrecisionX when I looked down at my Keyboard´s LCD display. I´ll update this post once I get a little playtime during my lunch hour.

It ran completely smooth. Maybe people should disable MSAA??? I really didn´t notice to many jaggies with FXAA set to low.

I wonder if an SMAA injector would work, that´s what I would use for BF3 when I had a single 680.

Played some rounds with AK and Death. Not bad, definitely different shooting mechanics than 3.

I really like the support default weapon with tap fires. The Assault with bursts and the engineer really needs to get in close.

Voip is really nice.

Haven't played yet and tonight is movie night with the wife, so things aren't looking good! I might (will) squeeze in a round or two just so I can obsess over how crappy my 670's suddenly became. Playing with no AA...has it really come to this? Man, life is rough!

Haha, I feel you. My machine at work can handle BF3 quite easily but now it is dropping a bit on medium for the BF4 beta.

Nah, it hasn't come to this. Game runs like a Beta. My pair of 680's aren't performing the way they should either. Seeing very low GPU utilization (about 50%) once the bugs are ironed out, it'll perform a lot better. Even people with 780's are reporting the same performance related issues and low GPU utilization so I wouldn't worry about it.

Is the game not able to run in 1080p? I swear it looks like I'm running a lower resolution than what I have selected.

Everything is all blurred and bad looking. All post AA off, and no MSAA.

I seem to remember a lot of discussions similar to this taking place during the BF3 beta. I'm pretty confident they will iron things out likewise.

For me, anyway, this one is running more smoothly and seems a bit more polished than the BF3 beta did. I haven't noticed any of the severe rubber-banding stuff going on that plagued BF3 during that phase.

The new Battlelog interface is faster and more intuitive. I think there is a good bit of improvement there.

I don't see a lot of problems on my HD7870. I don't doubt that there could be driver problems with Nvidia, but that will get ironed out. I'll test out my GTX670 tonight.

Just as an aside, here are two bugs I've found:
(1) can't walk over 6-inch door sills. BF3 had a similar problem originally.
(2) when my teammates and I were hit by a grenade on the top floor of the skyscraper, our bodies floated out into the sky.

Other that those obvious physics glitches, I don't see this running any worse than BF3. Yes, it's slower, but it's also better looking, particular in regard to textures (concrete, weapons, etc.). And there's just tremendous verticality to the level - so much more is being rendered in every frame. Every time I got sniped and realized the sniper was 500 feet up, I thought wow, there's a lot to keep an eye on in this game!

It's a lot slower, and it has nothing to do with the way it looks. The fact its using <50% GPU on so many machines is a pretty clear testament to that, not to mention lowering settings doesn't seem to help much. There is still a decent amount of optimization left to be done. It's a beta and runs like one, so I understand all that. I'm thankful that it's playable with my setup, some aren't as fortunate. I also read that Windows 8 seems to be running the game better, but that was from like one or two people so not enough to draw any solid conclusions.

There's color grading, but it's not the blue tint that everyone hated in BF3, myself included. It's fine, I can see again and my eyes don't bleed. Yet.

Can someone comment on the TTK? I'm sure it isn't running on hardcore servers, but it can't be that bad.

Also, I never got why people hated the "blue tint", especially on Operation Metro. It is in a subway. The light is going to be colored and reflect off the walls as such. Have the majority of you never been in around actual light?

I can almost guarantee you that SLI simply isn't working. On my single HD7870, I had 98-99% GPU usage.

Have you tried it with SLI disabled? Like I said, I'll try it on my single GTX670 later to see if my GPU usage drops considerably from optimal.

In my case that could very well be the issue, though I do see 100% utilization but only in the menus. There have been lots of reports of low GPU utilization all over the battlelog forums even on single GPU setups. I don't doubt that further driver optimization is necessary, but I also have no doubts that the game itself needs work. @repi has already confirmed this anyway.

Bouncing off tiles? I have been in areas subways that look blue.

The real point is: even if it had been green, people would still complain it was any color. They are under the impression everything is exactly the same under all light sources.
