I made 2 guys go WTF last night in chat


as I was clicking to det some C4 on their lav a squad mate of theirs knifed me, it let me complete the det even though the knife animation interrupted it, got 3 kills, vehicle destroy/disable and didn't lose my tags 😀
 
I don't want to jinx myself but... crashes still come but its more the exception than the rule now. Also, I find I can kill people a lot like I did in BF3. My KD ratio is now at 1.26 and steadily going up. I have not had the "ghostly deaths" like Childs relates happen to me but have had deaths like in cover or just went into cover. I've had occasional full blast on someone's face at about 10 meters and no register happen to me, one which happened last night.
Now I'm not an expert or anything but I think I can hold my own and with that said, I am enjoying the whole thing.

Try the network bar. Setting that to off should prevent the getting shot behind cover though you might get other issues. Try to find a happy medium.

mines at 0 and i still get shot behind stuff. a few times it seemed like someone was bending bullets, but in general its ok.

bigger issue i have is people nit dieing when i hit them square in the chest with a shotgun,

I hate that network smoothing bar - I dont understand it.

Are we expected to just randomly fiddle with it until it appears to have a positive effect?

Or is there some basic rule of thumb like if your ping is high, set the network smoothing high, low ping set it low???

Yeah I dont get it either so I don't touch it.

Ideally, you want it at 0. If you have it at 0 and have higher latency or packet loss, you'll see a lot of rubber-banding. I'm not sure it has a very big impact on other peoples' latency/packet loss, since I imagine the servers take care of most of that. I keep mine at 0 and just deal with the very occasional minor rubberband.

Have mine on 20. Default 50 was awful, 0 was awful, 20 is meh, so I left it there and will just deal with it. LOL
 
Well I hadnt seen a 200% XP boost until I hit level 70 today and just now got another. Couldn't have come at a better time, time to make up some ground! 😀
 
Sorry that I haven't kept up on this - can anyone tell me if pre-ordering BF4 without Premium grants you access to China Rising now? I don't have access, but I did pre-order from Amazon.
