I gave 8.1 2 installs worth of effort, and finally stable back at win-7 with latest beta drivers. MY 6970 would just cause the darn memory leak after several rounds. Very frustrating.

And now I just froze on the revive screen. Can't hit spacebar to accept, can't hit right mouse to redeploy. Have to quit game and rejoin. Awesome.

I'm going to get in touch with EA next week and see what they can offer since this game is clearly broken.

You're going to have some serious trouble with that CPU. It will be more of a hindrance that your video card, which still has some life left in it.

I haven't seen any benchmarks of the game using a Q-series chip, but my guess is that you'll have some pretty low minimums.

that is what i kind of thought when i played the beta, just wasn't sure how far it was compared to the final. guess a 2500k or non k is about the lowest to go? as far as the gpu, if i pick up a 1155 board, may as well get a sli board and pick up another 560ti...at least if there are no issues w/ sli w/ bf4?

What are the symptoms of the memory leak? My bro-in-law has been using my secondary system with an i3 2120 and 6970 and after a few rounds it gets really chunky. He has been restarting the pc and then all is well for another few rounds. This only started today, though this was the first time he has played since the latest patch. Does that sounds like the same issue?

He never said it was the game..just a memory leak. Some have reported it with IE is why i asked.

agreed.. Avoid and wait till its on sale for cheap and maybe if they even feel like fixing the game..

I don't even try to log into the game anymore. Save your money and piece of mind.
