Yeah, its snout's too pointy for a jerboa. I want to say it's something from the deserts of southern Africa. Am I correct in assuming it's a rodent?

BTW: the last beast I linked is a lancelet (aka amphioxus), it's one of the most primitive chordates, we figure all vertebrates are descending (edit: descended? haha, funny typo) from something like it.
