Is it okay to have a dose of reality with conspiracy theories???

The US is what 6% of the world's landmass and 3% of the population.

How come UFO's don't show up in 94% of the world or reveal themselves to 97% of the population?

Why is it UFO's only like to poke their presence at Americans?
If a species can travel light years to get here, they sure as hell won't be captured by a species as stupid and inept as humans.

There are multiple things that are paradoxical. If you are so smart, what's with the lights. Not so stealthy.

Do you try to conceal your self when you watch animals in the zoo?

They probably don't know about the "prime directive" of the Federation, either, or care.

I've been following this show very closely. Bottom line to me is that we don't begin to have a clue about what is currently on this earth already. 1.6 Gigahertz!
Just so you know, the hired gun astrophysicist https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travis_S._Taylor, announced on the first episode of this second season that he had also been working for the government outfit that is studying the UAP phenomenon while working on the show. Then, the second episode of this season, his old boss (head of that group) shows up. It turns out he worked for Bigelow who previously owned the property and worked in conjunction with this same government entity.

I really don't subscribe to conspiracies, but this takes the cake. Dig up the mesa!

Might be a virus or bacteria that knocks them down. How many millions of years has life on this planet had to adapt to things.

Same concept, travel untold light years, and not take precautions against pathogens? Even us primitive earthlings took precautions upon our return from the moon, be it an air stream trailer on the deck of an aircraft carrier.

Yes, I also have watched "War of the Worlds".

Have you guys ever listened to Bob Lazar's story?
The real conspiracy theory about Bob Lazar is that the DoD was using Area 51 as an illegal toxic waste disposal site that resulted in the deaths of several civilian workers, and Lazar was part of the government's propaganda campaign to cover that up. And he still grifts on that to this day.

Never seen anything except satellites and one or two meteorites with plasma trails throughout all of my stargazing. Yet, whole communities including the police have witnessed several UAPs over the decades.
My absolute favorite was with my wife, flying north on the I-5 corridor between Portland and Olympia. We are cruising along and what I think was an Iridium satellite did this lovely long burn straight away from us. It was not the typical iron meteor color.

I like how the best argument for defending cheap crackpot hustlers like Bob Lazar is that they couldn't possibly be doing it for money since they supposedly aren't making any and it ruined their lives. Because crazy people with delusions of grandeur falling into clear self destructive behavior, people used to feel sad but recognize its not good to enable it further and therefore there wasn't money to be made on it. But sadly now it seems to be. The rampant proliferation of conspiracy garbage is one the worst aspects of streaming services that are seeking an abundance of cheap content.

Ah, so that's why there's been this confluence of that bullshit. Got really sick of both of those being so hyped/talked about on some of the podcasts that I used to enjoy but have been struggling to as they've descended into treating this shit as legitimate.

A capitalist system without regulation is hard on people without money. Grab all the gusto you can. The more self loathing you are the better your chances to survive such a system. Capitalism and grifting go hand in hand.

OK, let's talk about the Aliens. We are all aliens, but the ones on planet earth are all humans. The universe is such that we cannot and never will rub shoulders with aliens from other planets.

If we have been visited by a craft from another world it would most likely be a probe and probably much older than any life form can live.

Unless they meet with misadventure and we stumble upon them either dead or knocked the F out. ;)

Blind squirrels and acorns.

Most likely truly advanced aliens would view earth/humanity the way we currently observe a tide-pool.

All you “but speed of light” dweebs, Sabine would like to have a word with you.
You all so stuck in what you read in a book 20 years ago… it’s nonsensical.

(1) Yes, I believe that ultimately FTL travel is possible.

(2) No, citing that particular YT video was not a great idea. ;)

At this point in human technology we're not even past chemical-burning rockets .... NOBODY has more than a TINY freaking clue beyond theory about FTL travel IRL.

And all that would be relevant pondering if we were discussing US visiting alien worlds, however its the other way around isnt it, we dont need to understand FTL yet, just the little greys visiting us has to.

You posted that video not me! ;)

Vet your sources. (And I'm not being snarky... for once!) :p

The CRAAP test: A guide on vetting sources (College of William and Mary)

The CRAAP Test is a way to evaluate (vet) your sources to make sure you are using the most accurate and up to date information for your research. The world is full of information, and it can overwhelm a researcher, using the CRAAP test to see if the information is rightly valuable is the mark of a good scholar.

One name/source does not an entire video make plus I know who she is ... I watched what you posted.

(also note that I didn't name her personally ... HOWEVER presenting this as a "revelation" is silly)

Brilliant however (one of Sabine's sponsors) is terrific if you enjoy learning and quality documentaries! :)

And "cemented in yesterday" in what way? Smart as Sabine may be (smarter than me!) I don't believe she'll be designing a working warp-drive (sub in FTL drive name/tech of choice lol) any time soon.

BUT I already believed it was possible. (as do most nerds/geeks/propeller-heads/sci-fi fans etc)
