I've heard of a conspiracy theory about how an alien visit/attack/scare will be seen by many. In reality it will be the US government faking the visit/attack/scare to increase the defense budget. We are? I must've missed that when we tucked our tail between our legs after having jack shit to show for our decades of occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan and succeeded in doing nothing to increase stability in the region that is a powder keg looking to explode. We succeeded in almost causing a tipover that led to a humanitarian crisis in Europe. The fuckup in Iraq directly led to Syria, which indirectly led to Russia's 2nd invasion of Ukraine in the last 10 years (which has global ramifications). We basically turned a blind eye while one country's leader murdered an American citizen, and are turning a blind eye while our best "ally" in the region slow rolls into genocide.

If that's your reasoning you'd be muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better off making the case that this alien false flag is attempting to be a distraction from those situations. Its not a coincidence that many of the big pushers of this shit are the ones also enabling the wholesale bullshit machine that modern right wing politics are.
