Surprisingly, no. It sold 5.28 million in North America. I have no clue how much it sold in Europe.

Ah, thats why no Wii-play then

I'd be rather interested to find out the profits on these games. I'm glad to see dead space hit 1 million sold, but since it's both USA and EU, I'd like to know if the game made enough money to be a success in EA's eyes, ETC.

I also can't believe how many copies COD:WaW sold in just 6 weeks

cool numbers...wonder how much it costs to actually make a game (resources, effort, materials, etc)

Such a shame Valkyria Chronicles was outsold by a lot of the crap on that list.

Ug, GTA4, 13 mil. We are such tools. :)

I just dont understand the backlash against such a great game.

I agree it was a great game. It just wasn't the game we wanted it to be. It didn't deserve the 10s it got, but I enjoyed playing it.

Im not saying it wasnt a good game, but 13mil, it really sold because of its name. Even I bought it without reading any reviews. IMO I have enjoyed Saints Row 2 200% more and actually finished it including all the minigames. GTA4 I shelved last June, got real boring about 70% in.

Kind of cheezy that guitar hero got a top 10 spot by combining multiple titles.... I'm not sure if GH3 was in 2007 or 2008.. thinking 2007, but Aerosmith and WT both came out in 2008 and they got a top 10 spot with "Guitar Hero (Various)". What were their sales for individual titles?

I love Guitar Hero, so I'm not trying to beat on them... just kind of cheezy to combine multiple titles to have a higher spot in sales numbers.

It wasn't multiplatform. When you limit yourself to the lowest installed platform that's going to hurt sales.

I'd buy it if they brought it to 360.

Are you kidding? It didn't sell well because it was an incredibly niche game with absolutly no advertising, not because it was only on the PS3.

Have you even heard the name "Valkyria Chronicles" Outside the internet and gaming geeks?

I have to admit, I'm part of the problem.

I've bought 3 versions of this game over the year. I had Madden 1998 for the PC, Madden 2004 for the Game Cube, and Madden '07 for the 360 :).

"a lot" of the crap on that list? Can you name any 2008 release that didn't outsell VC? I think even Alone in the Dark did :(

He has a point though... it would have sold better if it wasn't a PS3 exclusive. Still wouldn't have been a bit... but would have sold more.

You're right. Remove "the" =P

It has to be one of the worst selling highly rated games ever. Sega spends 3905730957903 dollars hyping the latest pos Sonic game and does nothing to promote this gem (in the US at least).
