896 ppd. Is one machine even capable of doing that little? Must make machines crunch faster...

Peter,
Thanks as always for the stats.

If you told us I have forgotten, which stat site do you use? I have noticed that KakaoStats and Extreme Overclocking update at different times and intervals. Not that it matters for this race, I'm just curious.

AS1: RAM speed has little or no affect on the SMP production rate. It's all
CPU speed. No reason to heat it up unless you need the bandwidth for gaming or something else.
Wierd! ,opposite to SETI & DPAD!, you would think it would matter *shrug*

The big L2 cache (2x4MB) of the Q6600s also is important for FAH SMP WUs peformance.

I am using mostly EOC and check with F@H when in doubt.

Yeah. I called Microsoft today and I got the department runaround.
Apparently their Activation and Server Teams are in India, but Technical Support and Pre-Sales are in the USA.

It went something like: Activation -> Pre-Sales -> Activation -> Tech -> Activation -> Wait 2 hours (they said they'd call back within 8) -> Server Team

This was all caused by me needing to reformat my harddrive and then trying to reactivate all of my servers.

They told me "Sorry sir, but you're going to need to have a MAK exception. Do you have an account number"
Me: "No, I do not. I did not buy a Volume License"
Them: "Do you have an Installation ID so we can activate it remotely?"
Me: "No, Server Products do not have Installation IDs"
Them: "Let me check online... Ok sir, we cannot do anything for you. Please contact the retailer where you purchased this license. They should give you a new one for free"

Bullsh*t.

Dang it!! Looks like I'll but at NewEgg again today. Mark, did you get an entire system or a card? I've been eyeing another 260 core 216 to add to my main box.

Keep folding!

Fahmon shows my total PPD to be around 12000 today, down quite a bit from the 17000 yesterday. Darn bigger WUs!

Hey guys. I'm really sorry, but I'm out. My main server's motherboard memory controller died so I now am relying on backup servers for more than they can handle so I have no time for F@H.

Good luck to you all.

Keep Folding, TeAm Anandtech
