You really don't know who they are?
Really.

You really don't know who they are?
Really.
You guys are a real hoot.
Here's the Dem field:
An aging Socialist with rape fantasies.
An aging woman who won't take questions from the press and can't find her way out of scandal after scandal after scandal.
An aging guy who has determined the biggest issue facing the nation is a change to the Metric system.
A former Mayor of Baltimore and Governor of MD who, channeling his inner Putin, likes to be seen with his shirt off.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Seriously though Sanders is a pretty good candidate.
I like how a guy who mentioned that it's possible a woman might fantasize about gang rape in a non-derogatory manner means "he has rape fantasies."
I also like how a woman who finds herself in scandal after scandal yet never convicted of any wrongdoing is at fault for being falsely accused over and over.
I also like how when a guy advocates a change to the metric system, that automatically becomes the "biggest issue facing the nation."
My favorite part is that Republicans make up straw men to laugh at Democrats, like, Sanders is a socialist? Where does he call for common ownership of the means of production?
doesn't Bernie Sanders refer to himself as a socialist?
Agreed. Also Huntsman's experience as Ambassador to China and that he speaks fluent Mandarin would be extremely useful in a time of escalating tensions between U.S. and China.
I don't think the value and importance of Huntsman's experience, knowledge, and understanding of the Chinese can be overstated.
But he hasn't been visible nationally in recent years to have a chance unfortunately.
On the metric thing, some of the good folks at SA Forums were hoping that it will become a question that all the candidates need to address. Can you imagine if a moderator pulls that one out of the bag in one of the Republican debates? Listening to these guys articulate their position on our system of measurements? :awe:
Jeb Bush (1995): Unwed mothers should be publicly shamed.
One of the reasons more young women are giving birth out of wedlock and more young men are walking away from their paternal obligations is that there is no longer a stigma attached to this behavior, no reason to feel shame. Many of these young women and young men look around and see their friends engaged in the same irresponsible conduct. Their parents and neighbors have become ineffective at attaching some sense of ridicule to this behavior. There was a time when neighbors and communities would frown on out of wedlock births and when public condemnation was enough of a stimulus for one to be careful.
yikes. i kinda, sorta agree with old Jebbie on one thing.
i do remember as a kid, people talking about young girls getting knocked up out of wedlock, but sadly i don't hear about this anymore.

Kinda miss the gossip, or what?
Help me sort this out- Jeb says that when a young man walks away from his obligations that we should shame the mother of his child, right?
Only sluts have bad taste in men, I suppose.
Marco Rubio's financial history is somewhat less than stellar.
lol, let me sort this out a bit. when i was young, i used to go to church. there was a girl that i grew up with in the church along with her brothers and we were pretty close. she got pregnant and i remember someone mentioning something about wedlock. when i got older, i looked it up and found out what it really meant and find it funny old Jebbie mentioned something like that.
as far as i can remember, she wasn't shamed at all for having a kid out of wedlock.
But you agreed with Jeb when he said she should have been shamed.
Or is this some sort of conservative compassion thing, beyond the ken of mere liberals?
