This was a good race. Good to see Sauber's race strategy starting to pay dividends.

Also, just noticed Kimi is 3rd in the drivers championship? 😱

singapore grand prix us tv times (eastern)

Holy cow. Fantastic race. Good drives from Vettel, Button, Alonso, Di Resta and Massa.

RB fucked up the strategy wrt Webber. Glock was pretty exceptional finishing 12th.

That was a great race. Good God does it seems scary driving on that track at race pace, much less at night. It's a testament to the incredible skill of F1 drivers that any of their cars survive a race weekend in Singapore.

Seems like Mclaren let Hamilton down. They apparently knew the gearbox was suspect, but decided not to change it. Hamilton also bounced off the wall in practice or qualifying with the right rear tire. He would have been much better off taking the 5 spot penalty.

Good race, horrible circuite. Passing was almost non-existant which I had gotten used to seeing these last two years. Here, it's back to pit lane passing only.

Saw this the other day. Quite a change for Hamilton as he's been at McLaren since he was a child practically.

Kind of wonder how Perez will fit in with the McLaren team.

I think Hamilton will be good for Mercedes and Ross Brawn will take him under his wing. Expect to see Hamilton on the podium for sure and maybe some wins.

hamilton won't be under brawn's wing, because his mind is polluted by his management. if merc hadn't scored a win during the tire lottery this year the board would have pulled them out at the end of the season, so their commitment is tenuous. this is 1 of those situations that could work out very good or very bad, not much middle ground.

I would like to see him run in some other series. Try to win some 24 hour races.

I think I remember him saying after his first retirement that you would never find him getting old in sportscars or touring cars since there's nothing like driving an F1 car. Never say never though... I'm sure he'll feel the itch again once the 2013 season starts.
