I bet half of the TL complaints are idiots trying to get a non-bluetooth phone working with the bluetooth handsfree. I went to take my dad's MDX in for service and there was a woman there very angry with one of the service techs. She brought in her brand-new TL and DEMANDED that they make it work with her phone!! They tried to explain to her that she needs to buy a new phone and that it isn't a universal handsfree kit but she just didn't get it.

I asked my service tech and he says he gets complaints about the handsfree with nearly every TL he sells...people don't understand what it needs to work.

This is another case of sheer numbers of complaints not telling a complete picture.
For example, and this is only an example, if a certain brand of auto came without
some decorative doo dad and lots of people complained, it would move this model to the
top of the list.

I want to know the severity of the problems/complaints, vs. just the numbers.

Where's Kia or Hyundai? Nowhere!

Time to buy a new Kia or Hyundai. Better reliability than Honda and Acura. w00t

No Chryslers either, I guess that means they're leagues above Dodge, which has two vehicles on there too :p

that is true, numbers don't mean anything....especially if they're all complaining about a cupholder :)

but the fact that no Hyundai, especially not the Tiburon, is not on that list makes me happy

I think you really can't make a list like that. A Sports car(Impreza) is in average driven a lot harder than a Suzuki Vitara or a Dodge Caravan, same goes for a Corvette, etc.

HUH? Land Rovers are sh!t :p

I wasn't aware they were crappy but I was actually thinking Range Rover. That was what threw me for a loop. I thought of all the times I've seen footage of Rovers chugging through some jungle or desert somewhere...lol. A simple mix up of vehicles. ;)

I wouldn't count on that lasting too much longer. Has the paint started to fly off your Neon yet?

No, because he can't get it to go fast enough for the wind to blow it off...

Most of the complaints were legitimate. Some are really stupid. For example:

"WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS PRESSED SLIGHTLY THE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD FROM 0-10 MPH." (OMG 10 MPH!!!!111)

"THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DESIGNED TO CLOSE TOGETHER, WHICH CAUSED CONSUMER TO PRESS THE ACCELERATOR WHEN THE BRAKE WAS BEING APPLIED."

Search for specific vehicle's complaints

You have no idea. I hang out over on Nasioc and I-club. If I had known, I might never have bought one.

My favorites are on Nasioc's warranty board. Amazing stuff. Things like, "My 300whp stage 4 WRX has only light mods and I never abuse it. While street-racing stoplight-to-stoplight runs against a Mustang and doing high-rpm clutch-dump AWD launches, my tranny suddenly blew up. My prick dealer refused to cover it under warranty. Subaru sucks!"

That list is nowhere near accurate... some of those cars (the Acura TL and RSX) are award-winning.

What does winning awards have to do with having problems with the vehicles? A car can drive nicely and perform admirably but have niggling issues.

I'm not sure the word 'niggling' is allowed in public discourse anymore.

Really? I had a friend who bought a new 1997 Discovery that ran without any problem whatsoever until last year, when he ran over a Saturn. It messed up the front end of his Land Rover, but let me tell you, that Saturn needs rape resistant panels.
