don't you think your Summary Line is a bit bias?

Impreza wasn't mentioned there, while the Focus and the Escape weren't even the second or third runner up. The Neon, in fact, is the lowest ranking one.

yes, I know, no one would ever believe the A4, i35, and the Impreza would rank all the way up there.[/quote]

The Focus, Escape, Neon and VW are All-Stars on the list 😀 They're always on the list so they get top billing.

I'm not surprised to see the Subaru Impreza at the top of that list. My friend has one and he's had nothing but problems with it. It sucks when you can't drive a new car from Denver to Los Angeles without the damned thing overheating every few miles. He had it 'fixed' in L.A. only to have it overheat all the way home.

I am surprised to see a couple Acuras and a Honda on that list.

The usual American junkmobiles are on there though.

I don't understand at all how the rating works. Is a higher number good or bad? Also there's no explanation on how it's derived.

should we also put this into consideration: the users themselves?

I see most of the luxury cars made the list while Daewoo and Suzuki didn't (now i am not saying they are bad, I am just saying the cheaper car brands just weren't there). and I think it is because snobbish, "rich but not that rich but act like they are all rich" type of person would own those luxury cars. And they would immediately file a complaint if the blinker wasn't HID or the wiper has no turbo option or the Cup holder cannot fit my Grande Starbucks Frappaccino. (hey, I got love for Starbuck's Frapp! 🙂 )

Where's Kia or Hyundai? Nowhere!

Time to buy a new Kia or Hyundai. Better reliability than Honda and Acura. w00t

It's nice to know that my people have more problems with their Acura RSXs, and TLs, Audi A4. Than my Neon (Which is a 2003 and has been problem free for 31K miles) 😛

maybe buyers were disappointed that it doesn't have a "ludicrious speed" button?

Maybe the Corvette buyers are calling to complain about getting smoked by pocket rockets like the WRx STi or Evo 🙂

RSX? S2000?

Does this account for that some cars are sold more than others?

Each year, thousands of Americans call their government to register complaints about their vehicles. The federal government collects this information but has never released it to the general public. The complaint index is based on a ratio of the number of complaints for each vehicle to the sales of that vehicle
