I'm sure the righties and Trumpaters will find a way to deny this, (never proven in court) and, of course, the usual:

Seems pretty easy to prove to me.

Was it an insurrection? Judges tend to say yes.
Did trump participate? Evidence seems to suggest he planned it, egged it on and refused to act to stop it for the most part.

I really find it hard to see how a court of law would see it differently with the exception of the fifth circuit which is currently a clown fiesta of court.

Word is latest poll says 64% of voters say they would not vote for Trump now. The Republicans look to be in serious trouble. They will reap what they have sown: FAILURE. The losing should be epic.

Unless the Dems regain control of the House...and retain control of the Senate, getting Biden re-elected (or whomever in his stead) won't matter much. The (R)s have shown numerous times their willingness to grind government to a halt to get their way...or at least to stop Dems from passing anything.

That is one area i feel the Dems fail at messaging. Letting the general public know that the reason things don't get done and are regressing is because they don't have the house majority. We here all know this, but we also are a lot more educated about the government than your average tool...i mean voter.

Basically "You want a government that works for you? Stop voting in Republicans who obstruct governance"

I'm trying to figure something out, please let me know your thoughts. When he burst on the presidential scene he was the anti politician, an outsider, businessman, told his followers exactly what they wanted to hear. But he also brought lots of baggage with him.

So now the republicans candidates love his ideas, rules etc and they all want to emulate him. So why can't they leave him, move onto other candidates that will shout the same rhetoric without all the outside distractions?

The president could matter, if Biden had more of a sack. The supreme court would be super-sized and all of those other fun things we dream about. I can tell you that when a guy like Trump gets in, he does what he wants regardless of how the majority of the country feels about it. Democrats spend too much time worrying about the optics of things and if the other side thinks they are being fair. The Dems need politicians with some sack, people to get the job done whatever it takes, and let the others whine about it later. They are going to take grief for whatever tiny little thing they now as it is, may as well advance an agenda to help America while you're at it.

Hopefully they feel the same about supporters like Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Bobert, MTG, etc., etc.

Not so much that but the greatest advantage to Dems so far has simply been having Trump's name on the ballot.
No constitutional law should be required to keep Trump off the ballot. Were we not a nation full of Stockholm Syndrome survivors he would never have appeared on the scene. As fskimospy said in some thread here somewhere, that he is and I would add was a criminal in 2016 was obvious to any sane individual. Only those so severely mentally damaged in childhood to need external ego identification so badly as to exhibit cult behavior would ever vote for him, and those conditions would not exist were we not all mentally ill to some degree, a degree sufficient to never ever under any circumstances honestly face what we really feel. Our whole culture is designed from bottom to top to prevent such awareness from ever occurring. The net is so tight that world wide only a few, at least given my poor eye-sight, can be seen who are truly awake.

Unless we begin to see that our own psychic structure in the source of our own misery we will never really fix anything. It will just be the wheel of Karma spinning round and round, endlessly creating what we fear and then, as the wheel is turned, creating its opposite.

Sorry for the bad news but in the world of mental health, down is up. Nobody seeks truth who does not know he or she is fucked as is.

PS: In my world of mental health, I should have said. I the world of mental health as I see it a huge part of it is geared to learning how to be better at being sick.

I mean the guy told Ukraine to do him a personal political favor before executing the will of the American people...he literally put himself before his country ...

He's a god to the deeply sick. Without mental illness he would not exist.

Kind of like when the Bidens took $10 million dollars to use their influence on behalf of a Ukrainian oil company? Or when Hunter collected millions as a lawyer for the Ukrainian oil company despite having zero experience in the industry much less a foreign oil company?

I will be glad when Trump losses again so he goes away for good.

Gridlock would still be a massive win compared to Trump getting back in office. Or Desantis. I'll take what I can get. First Biden has to survive that long and the economy can't take a nosedive (which surely the GOP and buddies like the Saudis will be attempting.)

Polls mean crap right now. I give Trump even odds of being the next President if neither he nor Biden has a medical issue but nobody knows.

Does it hurt? Being that fucking stupid, I mean? Or do you go about your day convinced you are right in your mind, and everyone else with actual proof is just lying. Either way, scientists should study you.

"The site which shall not be named" is full of folks who believe the Biden/Ukraine stuff 100%...then laugh at anyone who believes Trump is corrupt or a Putin puppet. (myself, I believe Trump was/is compromised by Putin, but not so sure he's actually a puppet...more like a useful idiot.)

It's going be a bad deal if Trump wins. I think we might actually fall into complete chaos.

I hate this bull shirt.

Biden may outlive you or me. You never know what life has in store. He might go another 10 -15+ years, god willing.

Hell naw the GOP doesn't deserve to be helped out of the hole they dug themselves. No way I want to see them be able to discard Trump now that he's inconvenient to them after delivering them three clerics to the supreme court. We already got fucked by Trump. Now time to see the GOP get fucked by him. Trump's going to run for their nomination every four years until he dies and if he doesn't get it he'll call the primaries rigged and tell his voters to stay home in the general or he'll run a third party campaign to torch the GOP. Time for the GOP to eat shit from Trump after the people had to for four years.
