He sounds like the member of linkin park, Mike Shinoda I think is his name. His solo stuff sounds just like that guy.

I am hoping there was sarcasm above.

Flobots is Mike Shinodas side project.

uhhhh, no?

b) Didn't like it first, now I love it.
c) If it wasn't for the horns in it, it wouldn't sound like Cake at all. Not only that, but the rest of the album sounds a bit different from this song.
d) I hate the excessive amount of political messages in the album.

It does actually sound like Cake in some of the songs even without the horn. The syncopated single-note guitar rhythms are very Cake-like.

That would be Fort Minor. Don't think Mike Shinoda has anything to do with Flobots.

I could have sworn a heretic just posted here, denying the supremacy of cake over pie. He was clearly smitten off the face of the earth.

Differences from Cake: everything else.

I've only heard a few Cake songs, but that seems about right. Somehow Trumpets have become synonymous with Cake. That's like saying every band with a Guitar is trying to be Elvis.

This might have been a great song, the first time I heard it. Bu then the next 100,000 times kinda ruined it for me..........but that's the MPAA for you these days

I think you meant RIAA, but even then, you meant Clear Channel.

I've listened to this song a couple of times because I was trying to figure out what I don't like about it. I think it's just the singer. If you take him out of it, or replace him, it might be decent.

So what exactly is this song about?

My guess is that it's supposed to be a little kid 'dreaming' about what he can do and what he aspires to do when he's older???

From the video, it looks like it's about how easy it is to go down one of two very different paths.

1. Song rocks.
2. Nothing like Marshall Mathers.
3. Sounds more like Cake.
4. That is good.
