polar bears live in the arctic

penguins don't

it's funny, but ultimately, it's TV

/shrug

it's just a matter of different sets of knowledge. an intelligent older person would probably be a lot better at seeing the bigger picture, how things relate to each other, and how theory can be applied real world situations.

The only thing this show proves is how useless the things you learn in elementary school actually are.

Its not useless. It lets me show off in things like this and trivial pursuit.

I've seen two questions so far, and this chick is borderline retarded.

They asked her what country has the longest border with the US. Her thought process was that she always hears about the border with Mexico, so it must be Mexico. Yeah, Canadians don't want to come here because the border is so short. Nevermind that just by looking at a map you can see that the border with Mexico only goes halfway across the US. Nevermind that Canada also has a very long border with Alaska. It's like she's playing dumb.

That last one threw me... I didn't think fiction books got dewey decimal numbers. I've never seen numbers on fiction books, they're always organized alphabetically by author's last name. Apparently all of American Fiction belongs in the number 813. (according to Wikipedia)

I'm convinced she only got that one right because she's stupid. :p

At least she knew there were only 2 countries bordering the U.S. and which they were.

Also, she did get the 1st grade art question right away (what color do red and yellow make when combined) but it did take her a long time to come up with the 1st grade astronomy question (which star is closest to earth).

"Computer consultant" = data entry clerk staffed through a temp agency.
