Gas currently costs the equivalent of $8.44/gallon here in Sweden. I guess Obama is to blame for that too?

Don't drive a SUV?

Learn what the rest of the world has learned about fuel economy... Large and powerful vehicles are stupid unless you actually need them, which most people who have them don't need them. It would also be cheaper for them to just rent a uhaul the 1 time a year, maybe, they actually *need* a large vehicle.

Well, spending billions upheaving two countries in the middle east for absofuckinglutely nothing didn't help our national debt or oil reserves.

Spectacular truth.

Fwiw, I don't think op is serious, it's not like we can control the growing demand of China and India, or the rampant speculator inflation that comes sometimes. Gas prices have been dick for a long time now.

The president doesn't control the price of oil. OPEC does. Additionally, the companies that bring refined fuel to the pump may or may not have an agreement with OPEC to keep barrel prices at a standard for X-number of years. Additionally, the president doesn't dictate what those companies charge for their product and doesn't force you to go to the most expensive one in the area or dictate what octane you purchase. He doesn't force you to drive, either (additionally :D).

PSA: Gas prices hurt everyone and everything. It doesn't matter what type of car you drive.

Taxes are high but haven't changed, while the cost of gas has still kept increasing

Blaming the president for the cost of oil imported from halfway around the world doesn't make sense.
Of course not but it was done during the last admin.

Edit: What do you pay per in taxes?

I'm sure Obama would have a surplus in the budget without those wars. :) And I want our troops out of Egypt and Libya! (for the record I think Bush made some pretty shitty decisions as president. I think Obama has been every bit as shitty, he just seems to be given a free pass)

My car is as opposite a SUV as you can get. Also, ask anyone in the Garage, my car is neither large or powerful...lol.

For some odd reason it does suck more than the highest gas guzzling SUV though. :hmm:

Obama sets the price of oil? Damn this whole time I thought it was OPEC and the commodities markets.

Nope, it's the President. He also decides exactly how many jobs there are and what they pay.

IT's in the constitution, READ IT OKAY?!

Hmm, let's see... as I recall, gas prices were at their lowest in the late 90s during the Clinton administration. Once Bush took over, they started rising from less than $1/gallon all the way up to above $4/gallon in 2008 when Bush was still president. Then once Obama took over, they dropped again to the $2-$3 range, and only now are they starting to rise again.

Not that gas prices actually have much to do with who is president at the time. Before you blame Obama for $3.50 gas, remember that Bush was in charge when we had $4.50 gas.

WEll to be fair, it took 8 years to screw it up. It's taken Obama 2 years. :p

Bill Clinton laid the ground work for the destruction of the American Economy. George Bush simply failed to stop the destruction from coming to fruition.

Everyone knows this.

You have a Mazda RX-8. Rotary engines are not fuel efficient.
