Hmm, let's see... as I recall, gas prices were at their lowest in the late 90s during the Clinton administration. Once Bush took over, they started rising from less than $1/gallon all the way up to above $4/gallon in 2008 when Bush was still president. Then once Obama took over, they dropped again to the $2-$3 range, and only now are they starting to rise again.

Not that gas prices actually have much to do with who is president at the time. Before you blame Obama for $3.50 gas, remember that Bush was in charge when we had $4.50 gas.

And they were cheap under G.H.Bush, so? Everyone wanted to blame Bush when they rose and he was in office. Now they're rising under Obama.

For the record, I don't think the president really has much influence over gas prices one way or another... I'm not sure why people blamed Bush or why anyone would blame Obama.
