well when I said deaf ears, maybe I should have said dumb ears in your case.

Did you read????

If Bush wouldn't have CUT funding to research alternative fuel research, myabe we would be further along towards the inevitable goal of having to move in that direction.

Who really cares? Even if alt fuel research wasn't cut, it wouldn't make any difference.

The oil companies can do whatever they want to us whenever they want and the only thing we can do is bend over. Alternative energy won't ever materialize either. As soon as someone invents an engine that does 200 mpg or using a different source, the person will end up disappearing. The big oil companies would never allow that to happen. Our only hope would be to take back the government and put a cap on gas prices. That will never happen when people who love getting ripped off are running around this country bowing to their leaders. Sickening.

So you are suggesting PRICE CONTROLS? Oh, yeah, that's been tried before. <PLONK>

How about you come back to reality, eh?

Would you care to explain why research wouldn't make any difference?

How exactly can you complain about people "without brains," when you PM unsolicited crap like this to posters here:

Dude, you might as well just post a thread admiting your ignorance as a man.....oh and also you can come out of the closet now you i love you.

I think perhaps you should probably return to that rat-hole from which you crawled. Take some of these as snacks: :cookie: :cookie:

Alternative energies need trillions of dollars of investment and decades of implementation before they are even able to compete with fossil fuels.

Whenever gas prices go up, a part of me thinks back to the times of Clinton and I think of all the great things he did for China!

You should have been in DC when they opened the impeachment proceedings. Chinese financiers deserting like rats leaving a ship. I went to one of the sales and the chinese guy had a bank of lartge PC's that he followed the money markets with. There is an investment. Did you know that exchange gains are not taxed? Our government leaders do!

That's not necessarily the way it has to work. It's not like fuel-cell technology is complete pie-in-the-sky. They've been using them for decades in the space program, and there are at least a few promising variations of it. The Germans have hydrogen-powered, PERFORMANCE prototypes right now. Regardless, we have to start somewhere. Why not here and now? Either this, or we're going to keep going down the road we're on, and that obviously isn't going to work.

OH no, don't post my PM's!!!! ROFL

I don't think I have ever seen you say one useful thing in this Forum. I know I insult people sometimes as I did you, that was only so I could come down to your level though. The least you could do if you were going to bicker with me is prove some valid points about the issue at hand, or maybe you just have nothing valid to say.

I thought forum etiquette dictates that what happens in the PM system remained there. I agree with GE on this one, bickering and personal insults should be secondary to the topic at hand.

Prices here have fallen to a low of $2.70 and have been steadily falling for the last couple weeks. Democrats still claim gas prices are at an all time high.

One might find $2.70 pretty cheap compared to $3.50+, Dave. And that goes for a Democrat or a Republican.

So $2.70 is cheap gas to Republicans now???

If not for the Internet, you wouldn't be able to get away with your slander, libel and constant misrepresentations.

$2.70 is cheap for liberals. Republican's can afford gas at any price.
