Did the store give you their health insurance info? I remember cutting my hand when I worked in a grocery store as a kid, had to go the emergency room and was able to have it all covered directly by the store.

Absolutely nothing! No name, nothing!

was this a major chain?

not sure... i know they have a dozen or stores around Taxes. Think they are big, why?

Don't mention it here, you never know what might happen if you wind up in court. I would suggest you should not reveal any more details about this case, in my opinion.

Have you figured out what attorney you are going to contact first thing tomorrow morning?

I understand you're pissed and going nuts over the whole situation, it's your wife. First thing tomorrow morning - call and retain an attorney. I'm against stupid suits as much as anybody, but you've got a lock solid case.

Make a list of the things you need to do tomorrow, take off work if you have to. Game plan, execute it.

Also agree to shut up on the forum, all communication is done via your attorney from now on.

Thanks spidey, looking through sites now. none on the one u posted. and the other is arkansas. i live in texas now.

Also, was this incident captured on the store's security cameras? If so, once you get an attorney, make sure you get a copy of the video asap. If you wait a while, I have a feeling the video may "mysteriously disappear" or "we're sorry, our video recorder was not working that day"...

That's a horrible wound btw 🙁 I wish you and your wife the best on this

Lawyer up. I'm surprised they let you guys out of the store without signing a release though.

"Let you out"? WTF, they can't keep you in their store.

Very true... they can't keep you there, but a "good" store manager usually sure as hell tries. It's called damage control - they try to do everything possible to cover their asses just to prevent situations like this.
