Hey you guys from Portland, go check out my mom's little food stand at the corner of Bancroft and Moody (right by the Old Spaghetti Factory) sometime! 😎

Edit: It's called Kai's Kitchen. 😀

Thanks I'll give it a try, any recommendations on what dishes to order?

BTW - Kai's Kitchen is listed on portland.citysearch.com but there are no reviews yet 😉

Ross, I would try the chicken with rice... it has a great flavor and you can put toasted sesame seeds, thai herbs, and sweet chili sauce (mmm!) on it if you like. 🙂

Bigsmooth , that's your mom's stand? I've been there many times, good grub! I work about 2 blocks away at the Fiserv building.

<< u all heard that "Thai food" prank call clip on the internet? pretty funny >>

you thai? i thai too!

NccOps - What Portland Thai places can you recommend that haven't already been mentioned in this thread?

I've only tried the 3 mentioned
Thai orchid
Bankok kitchen
Bai Tong

There are many others that i want to try, as the taste varies from restaurant to restaurant. Kind of off the subject of Thai food, but you ever tried Salvador Molly's Jumbalaya?? Good stuff...ahhh, getting hungry now.

Nope I've never tried their food but that review makes it sounds delicious. Where abouts is Sunset Blvd, near which landmark/school/stores?

What have you ordered at Bangkok Kitchen? Love their shrimp pad thai and pot stickers, yummy.

Yo Rossman

i've actually been to Bangkok Kitchen. I was dating a Thai girl back then and we used to go there. she said it was real authentic thai.

OMG their red and green curries were SOOOO HOOOTTTT.

I've ordered the pad thai. My favorite dish so far is the mussaman, i love the potatoes drenched in the curry sauce.

Many Good Recipes
Some More

Cool I'll have to give that dish a try.

I like it a little spicy but not tear enducing hot.

If you like thai food, but want it a little milder you'll probably like Indian food. similar curry dishes. with potatoes and i love the Indian Flat Breads.

Those damn Bangkok Kitchen bastards, they apparently claim their supplier ran out of pot stickers so they haven't had any for 2-3 weeks!

I need more Thai food options.

<< sweet rice with durian. 😀 >>

I just cant get use to that taste durian, not to mention the smell. I'll be going back soon to thailand and I will definitely be grubing.
