no idea. his last post was some whiny tantrum about hating us all and not coming back. Which is strange, because it's nowhere near Christmas, and I haven't done anything this year to deserve such an awesome gift.

Never stop posting Jeebus.

I will say that I was getting a bit tired of TFP. Sometimes I just want to read a thread without all the chaff and he would post quite a bit. I guess I would file it under the same annoyance that made people dislike blackinches (but at the same time not having been subjected to blackinches, Born2bwire thinks it is hilarious).

I miss him - if only as a beacon, a shining example to all the pathetic trolls we're now stuck with - of what a truly committed troll can accomplish.

The trolls we have today really put no effort into their schtick. Trolling is an art, and TFP was its Michelangelo.

We don't even have Heller to poke fun at these days. Now I'm getting all emotional.

EDIT: That said, I voted "I am a mod and I do not miss him" because I think it's how we would have wanted me to vote.

What happened to Heller?

I don't miss him. I was getting crazy when every thread was derailed into a pissing contest 5 posts in by him.

I don't even consider him a troll. Especially later on in his career, far more people would laugh at the incredible wit contained within his postings, and the only people that actually took offense to him were human failures. He would satire the stereotypical Apple fan, among other personalities known to annoy your typical forum goer, but he had a great sense of moderation, and unlike virtually every other troll in existence, feeding him didn't usually do anything. A certain new member of this forum is a far better troll in that he can consistently rile people up for pages upon pages, but theflyingpig is undoubtedly the better forum member and human being.

I cannot comprehend why people like or miss this guy, maybe it's because I wasn't around him enough to understand. Why people liked him but not me, I also don't understand.

The guy literally just moved from thread to thread posting the most insulting thing he could think of about the subject at hand or about the OP, added "Everybody knows this" at the end of the post then moved on. Why is that a good thing? The man was/ is a moron.

He was a first rate satirist, and many times fairly insightful. If you aren't pissing people off, you aren't living :^D

Like I say maybe I wasn't around his posts long enough to appreciate it, he seemed to just be a moronic troll from the posts I saw.

He told me that for having a mental health condition I was a weak person unable to deal with life.

That was it for me, he was an insulting abusive ignorant troll.

TFP was entertaining, as opposed to the trolls that we're stuck with now, who are merely annoying.

It's more entertaining than the shit you post.

Umm... How does this makes him any different from HAL9000, GodlessAstronomer, or TridenT?

The big difference people actually seemed to like him and would carry on about how cool and funny he was. He was about as unfunny as they come. Hal9000 would never have a following, even though estentially he's the same kind of troll.

Again, NO TFP wasn't in the least bit funny.

And while we're on the subject I'd like to have rcxEric back.

Dude was either a brilliant troll, or inhuman psycho, but I loved him nonetheless.

I think what I liked about him was that he was intelligent & insightful.

Now we have trolls like neckbeard that are neither... :(

The search for theflyingpig incarnate begins. Using google search past few days, on exact phrase "Everyone knows this.", filtering anandtech quotes and posts:

I'm sad that google search can't be done by case, otherwise it'd be easier to filter the thousands of hits. I'm trying to match by word order and similar writing styles of TFP. If not him, his legacy is being spread. I had no idea how wide it has gone.

claiming that there are stronger forms of the drug already implemented in pharmacology pretty much defeats the argument. the reason why ppl choose illegal drugs is because they are easier to acquire, everyone knows this. if you regulated them all they would be hard to get.

Her crush could be interesting though. I know i can’t blame her. And i’d love to see Pam put her in her place.
And let me just make it clear i couldn’t continue watching the show if they ever broke Jim and Pam up.

Being rich doesn’t give you the right to be rude…
Posted on the 11 May 2011 by Redneckprincess

It really doesn’t.

Maybe some rich people need to start reading my pion blog. Maybe they would learn something about us little people and how to behave in the real world.Being rich doesn’t give you the right to be rude…

I will never understand how it works that people look down on other people. Expect that they are better and deserve to be treated differently than the rest of us.

We have some customers at work that are rich. I don’t know how rich. Maybe not more money than god, but close.

Everyone knows this.
