how do you get updated?
There is nolink to get it, and there is no auto update.

There is auto update. I just did it

it did not autoupdate me🙁 Infact, i have been having connection problems all day with the game.

Everything's up and running well for me! I'm going to enjoy trying to get most of those Medic Achievements! Makes TF2 more exciting to play again!
Was fun playing with a few members on the AT server for a little while! (<---xRapture)

There are no servers avalable. Every single one is full tonight. make matters worse, I think the whole dam population is on Comcast. The internet is so slow today!

Team Fortress 2 now officially sucks for the next 2 weeks. I've joined servers that have 100% Medics, and other servers where there was no one to ubercharge because everyone was ubercharging everyone.

Its turned into Medic Fortress

Just played about 90 minutes of Goldrush. Very well done, except the beginning of each stage lags like a mother - especially given the fact that there are about 8 medics ubering at the start right on each side, since everyone wants to be a medic all of a sudden. Very, very fun though. Can't wait for more goldrush maps and other class unlocks.

Well I played for about two hours and so far:
Cool map.
Its a well designed map and I like the layout.
Lots of twists and turns so you have to keep watch on all directions.

We won the map twice, the end animation is okay.
Really wanted to see a bigger BOOM than that though.

We had a server with 30 players and had about 5 medics on each side.
Seemed nice and strange at the same time to be healed all the time 🙂

This weekend should be interesting.
I may skip playing because of all the new players and people wanting to play medics.

If your not updating, completely exit steam, nothing running down by the clock.
Then run it again.

That's strange, I didn't have that problem on either of the servers I played on. Internet mentioned he was thinking about limiting the number of medics on the AT server, at least until things mellow out a bit. May be a good idea.

Anyway, I love the update and Goldrush is a fantastic map!

I see a lot more servers now, but I was able to play on the anandtech server for quite a while.

I really like goldrush, but they should have given more classes new achievements. Way too many medics! It really ruins the experience IMHO. I like to play as medic but refused to do so tonight.

Haha. When more than half the players on the server are medics it gets a little ridiculous. Too MUCH healing. Never thought I'd say that...

it's going to take me a looooong time to get those achievements if ever. Adding achievements like this to all the classes will pretty much make this game unbeatable.

I just played some TF2 after the update. I played on a server where some people unlocked all of the new achievements via the console, and they also unlocked the three new Medic weapons. I just had to quit, it's depressing seeing people doing that, spoiling the game to themselves like that... I'm very surprised that Valve couldn't just hard-code those achievements and the new weapons.

That's dumb. I was actually excited everytime I got one of the new achievements last night (ended with 11 of the new ones). It gives you something to work towards, though there are definitely a few there that may require some, er, coordination.

I couldn't believe I had already accumulated 1 million heal points though, was very surprised to get that achievement yesterday. 😕

I was on a server last night playing the new update. The new map was pretty cool.

One major issue kept occurring though. Randomly people that were playing, including me, would be kicked to spectator mode. It happened to everyone and very often. You could be walking along and all of the sudden you would be in spec mode for no rhyme or reason.

I quit after about an hour of it. It sucked to be a solider ..walk half way across the map...and then suddenly get moved to spectator mode. Or worse yet...you are a medic..build up an uber...and just as you are ready to activate it...you get kicked to spectator mode...

Anyone else have this issue?

AHHH!

Buddies and I alternate medic and pyro a lot.

Nothing invokes panic and folds a defense like an uber-pyro.

The AT server was smooth as butter, no issues like that whatsoever.

Before the AT server was updated though I was playing on the SS server and they had an issue where you could not respawn normally. Every time you died you had to go to spectator mode first, then try and rejoin your team; very annoying.

My only issue with the map is it seems the door does not close at spawn, which means anyone from the opoosing team can sit there and shoot at you while you respawn. One of the only solutions to it is to charge up an uber and blast your way out, but it's quite obnoxious to have to do so.

achievement_unlock_all is the command. And I hope a lot of people use it too, achievements as a means to dictate how much content you can have is an affront to gaming. The sooner everyone unlocks this stuff the sooner the game will go back to not being a medic-fest (due to the OCD players going for achievements) and the sooner Valve will realize that tying gameplay/fun to a achievements is a ludicrously bad idea.
