TF2: The Sniper vs Spy Update

Finally they reverted that you can get the unlocks via achievements. I have all of the sniper updates now (via achievements) which were the ones I was after in this patch. The random system still seems to suck though (lots of replicates, at least for me).

I've played about 10 hours since the update and I haven't gotten a single random unlock.

I played 10 hours and I got all the spy gear, but nothing for the sniper yet.

I got the cloak and dagger after about an hour. I haven't been playing much recently.

I've gotten the Ambassador and the Razorback so far, the Ambassador is nifty, but is situational.
The razorback I find useless, especially since spies can see it they simply get close with the ambassador and shoot you twice. If valve had made it so only your team could see it I could see the Razorback being more usefull.

A lot of people don't even notice that their razorback has been stabbed once. I found it useful, it ar least helps you in group situations.

For me when wearing Razorback I usually get 1 or 2 -shotted (in the head) instead of immediate backstab kill. Only few times someone has tried to backstab me when I'm wearing the Razorback (then I've managed to kill few of them). But usually either way with skilled Spy I'm still going to end up dead.

I hope I'm not the only one who earns achievements the old fashion way - I earn them. Something about going to an acheivement farm doesn't sit well with me.

Hehe, I played for a couple of hours last night. In the first couple minutes I got the Ambassador, and after an hour I got the Bow. This was after not having played for over a week

Don't care for the spy updates so much. The cloak and dagger goes away way too fast, so I stick with the original. The Ambassador isn't worth it because I don't make many headshots with the revolver unless it's a heavy with his back to the corner and he's eating a sandvich.

Still hoping to get past my 21 point record.

lol yes I'm weak sauce but I want the damn new weapons cus I wasn't getting anything given to me randomly then AFTER I unlocked all the new weapons with achievment farming, I finally started to get the random drops given to me
