You are the one spouting idiocy. I'm done.
It's a basic common sense you moron, and it is in effect in many states that aren't so full of partisan asshats that they can see common ground.
So throw up your straw men and declare victory, you are a half witted troll and nothing more.
So you are saying someone is advocating for freedom to bear nukes? Because no one is. I agreed with a highly unlikely hypothetical given improbable contingencies.
Wasn't Texas pleading with the federal government to give them FEMA monies to put out the fires just a year or two ago?
Yes! That's the Rights dirty little secret. The Red states suck off the Gubermint teat the hardest...true story Rightists.
You can't drive for crap though. When I drive in Vermont I feel like I am driving in the south.
Jokes aside, what exactly is the reason for them wanting to secede? That article does not outline it very well.
Hm... it really wasn't a joke actually. Vermonters can't drive.
Wasn't Texas pleading with the federal government to give them FEMA monies to put out the fires just a year or two ago?
This is what happen when you have de-assimilated yourself from American culture and society. These people have a mental disorder. Obama needs to act quickly. Set up a Department of Re-Assimilation and have these Romney supporters go through some counseling so that they can interact with American society again.
A lot of Yankees don't seem to know Texas history.
Before what the US now calls Texas, this land was part of Mexico. And the law required that all landowners be Mexican citizens. Consequently, anyone that is an 'original' Texan was also a Mexican.
We have had a war with Mexico. And we won that one.
After that war, Texas was an independent country.
Then after we chose to join the US, we participated in the war of northern aggression. And we lost that one. Though from many of the attitudes expressed here, I don't know why the Yankees fought to keep us in their Union.
If you think that this Texan gives a damn whether my federal taxes go to Washington D.C., Mexico City, or Austin, you would be mistaken. so:
Screw you, we're from Texas.
Uno
Seriously, how long would you expect an independent Texas to last?
Seriously, how long would you expect an independent Texas to last?
bro, you have no clue.
see in this life there is things we see and hear, and also there are things we don't see and hear, that still exist..
texas can't do shit.
we're not even on par with say.. california.. look at REAL CASH MONEY REVENUE.. and you know, reagan had a good idea.. trickle down economics.. only problem is it happens within households, mothers and fathers, and grandparents, supporting there own family.. that's as deep as it goes.. now equate that to Texas.
look at who we would be equivilent to.. we would be like macedonia..
Texas - 268,581 square miles
France - 260,558 square miles
This is not rhode island or delaware we are talking about, this is Texas.
The question is, how long could the US last without Texas ports and refineries.
The only way that would happen would be in the case of a war, and Texas as already been on the losing side of one of those. Despite all the tough talk I doubt they want another beatdown.
all the "fly over" states should do the same thing along with Hawaii.
I agree, I would love to see most of the south secede from the rest of the states. The majority of red states are a vampire on the northeastern and west coast pocketbook. AKA, South Carolina for instance takes $2.47 from the federal government for every $1 it sends back.
Your sig is pretty ignorant. You act as if gas prices were ALWAYS $1.84 before Obama took office, conveniently not linking the gas price history of the Bush years. And I love it that you have to use Obama's middle name, as if it MEANS something. Another dog whistle for the racist right wing to denote someone as "other".
Here are the FACTS about gas prices:

Hint for those with a double digit IQ: click the 8 years tab.
Also another tip: presidents hardly have any impact on gas prices, OPEC and demand does.
Texas has elected George Bush and Rick Perry as governors.
Seriously, how long would you expect an independent Texas to last?
