There is nothing fringe about it.

It most definitely is fringe to allow a man to compete in a womans match lol. And honestly it's even more fringe to be pumping children full of 'puberty blockers' so you can get your 'desired result'. Borderline child abuse IMO, but thats another thread I guess.

You're going to use hormones to turn a boy into a girl and then allow them to play sports and I'd assume, weight train and such, while taking hormone blockers? That's reckless.

I have friends with daughters who play at a high level.
Those girls are the top tier athletes of their school. They could easily make "the boys teams".
Just plain old straight white girls that spend their who life busting their ass.

Wait.
They are also on the tall side.

Once all the "people" wrap up their battle being paranoid about grown men competing in high school girls sports, they can start a new rampage against tall girls who also hit the weights.

They may be top tier athletes but to say they could make the boys team is crazy. Not sure where you are from but I can only assume some very small rural town. Here in Chicago that is just crazy talk. If you want to make a case for contact vs non-contact sports I could somewhat see it but even then it could make it very tough on women to reach 'professional' levels.

It just doesn't make sense to allow males to play in female leagues. It's dangerous, actually. Can't she(he) still try out for the boys team? That's generally how it works, I don't think there's any specific rule stopping a woman from playing in the NBA.

Im not anti trans I believe everyone should be happy and have a shot at healthy competition.

You got it backwards, hoss, not allowing trans kids access to blockers is the child abuse.

Small hamlet of 20,000 people in a town of 330,000 people in a county of 1.5 million people and have worked and played in a city of 8.4 million people for decades
The hamlet where I grew up, same town, has a population of 60,000 people. My graduating class comprised of 2,000 seniors.

The school district my kids go to have all sorts of kids, including transgender.
We generally just call them kids no matter what "label" they have.

Since normal adults don't go involving themselves in the private lives or the medical status of children of other families and simply treat all kids as kids, I didn't stop to think what sort of medical procedures "Jessica" or "Thomas" have undergone because its none of my fucking business.

What I do know is that some kids are good enough to compete at the national level and are currently travelling the country and in some cases internationally.
I also know that some kids are only there because parents insist they do some sort of sport instead of video games.
For the top tier girls who are travelling the country working with top tier coaches and athletes, I'm pretty damn sure they blow away "Jake" on the fucking high school team.

I understand what you are saying but we're talking kids sports.
People are chasing imaginary issues, as if this was fucking Chicago worrying about terrorist attack after 9/11
No one is bombing that shithole city. It's like Kansas state police taking anti terrorism training.

Why do you assume that transgender kids are all taking hormones?
Is that what the facebook page told you?

Nope.
Bad example. Poor form, no muscle tone and lacked the physique for the role. She landed the gig because she was tall.

I submit this poor delicate flower

What the f is wrong with you? Any adult allowing children access to those types of medications and treatments should be investigated for child abuse. As if young children are in the position to make those types of massively life altering decisions. People flip the f out when a kid is circumcised but this is ok?

Clearly lol. I thought the discussion was males who have transitioned playing in female leagues. All i said is that's fringeworthy for sure and very difficult to deal with/manage in reality.

You got it backwards, hoss, not allowing trans kids access to blockers is the child abuse.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Your last sentence shows how much full of shit the rest of your rant is. You are anti-trans. Own it bitch!

Im anti trans because I don't think allowing males who have transitioned to play in female leagues is a good idea? Solid logic.

Again there's just no way. I watched the Sky tonight and there are boys highschool teams (many of them) that would beat them. I will admit I come from a contact sport background so that's kind of where my perspective is. I commented on the hormones because someone else mentioned giving them blockers at age 10 so they could achieve a 'desired result'. At 10 years they would be in 5th or 6th grade? That's absolutely crazy and any parent who is obsessed enough with their childs gender is a loony. If they aren't 'transitioning' in any medical way than its even worse imo. lol Facebook? Youve tried to peg me as something I'm not. glhf

It is not the same thing. F to M transgender would be at an inherent disadvantage, in contrast the M to F transgender. Even then, I am not sure hormone replacement is going to equalize the playing field. Looking at it in the opposite direction, will a 180 pound woman ever become a football lineman (6'5 and 300 pounds of muscle) by taking hormones?

Personally, I dont know how I feel about this issue. I certainly do think it is a legitimate (and very difficult) question to be examined, and it is unfair to simply brand anyone who doesn't think it is an issue as some redneck transphobe.

Lemme ask something…why the ridiculous question u posed above? It’s utter nonsense except if you’re trying to elicit a specific response. It makes as much sense as asking if a 5’ 10” 150# guy can be changed into a 6’ 2” 265# linebacker with hormones.
Makes as much sense as your question. So why ask nonsense?

Wonder why the WNBA seems to have little concern about the trans player who is in her 9th season in the WNBA? But what do they know?

Nothing wrong with me, I actually know what I'm talking about, whereas you don't. How does a parent go about getting access to puberty blockers for their child? I know. Do you? I'm also in a position to know what it's like for children who don't have access to treatment.
Im anti trans because I don't think allowing males who have transitioned to play in female leagues is a good idea? Solid logic.
No, you're anti-trans because you're expressing clear anti-trans sentiment.

For the "OMG the trans kids are coming to sprint faster than my daughter" sad adult babies, I think I have a better argument against hormones, and that's the sad pathetic guys that take testosterone boosters. Its completely unnatural and gives them an unfair advantage beating their spouse. That's a more serious issue than a trans kid possibly outperforming another trans kid in a sport.
