When you are down to 2 people playing (one is the dealer), how do blinds and betting work?
Would the Dealer get the Big Blind? Or does it switch and he gets the small blind?

dealer has the button and posts the sb, and acts first preflop. other player posts the bb, and acts first after the flop.
To me it makes more sense for the non-dealer to post the sb because he's the first person left of the dealer (who usually posts the sb) and then the next person to the left (in this case the dealer) would post the bb...Originally posted by: Vilica

i believe dealer is BB always
that is how we play and how it is in every tourney i've played online does it
dealer means you act last in every round of betting except for first round
but when you are dealer / bb then you do act last every round

The dealer is never the big blind.

The BB is always out of position postflop. If you kept the same setup, in heads-up, the BB would be in position preflop and postflop, which would be extremely unfair, and would kill any action. Thus, the SB has the button, and position postflop.

I think you got this wrong. The SB acts first which makes that spot out of position. The button is always in position. Therefore the button and BB go together. The BB is NOT out of position. Where did you get that from? If the button had the small blind it would have to act against the big in order to stay in.

There's still a button, and two blinds. Doesn't matter if there's a dedicated dealer or not.
