Oh you mean petty crime yeah pretty uncommon but muder, honor killings, beatings, rapes, child molestation and stuff is very common...the devot aka "radicals" even killing thier own more secular brothers when they are not killing westerneres. To us it is petty, what if someone was stolen that you could not afford to replace?

Thieves were dealt with much more harshly before an influx of wealth made it so we could replace what was stolen, if you do have that option, the crime becomes serious instead of petty.

well there are instances of barbarism in any society. We recently had a case in Seattle where a group of black teens beat a white teen to death while the police sat around with thier fingers in thier nose.
Kurds as you know claim part of Turkey and although we know zero info about what perpatrated this beating there are some hard feelings between the teo groups.
