I'm really amazed how republicans keep getting away with this.
With every election we see republican candidates run on the economy, jobs, national debt.
Then people fall for that line and vote them in.
The next day, the republicans enact their true agenda, attacking social issues.
No word on the economy, national debt, and certainly nothing to create jobs.
Instead, they seek to limit and ban abortion. Attack gay rights. Attack minority rights. Attack voting rights.
That, in a nut shell, is the agenda.
Not the economy, creating jobs, or reducing the debt. Its the social that want to attack.
For republicans, big government means the government protecting and ensuring voting rights, safe abortion when necessary, and ensuring that minorities can take part in the American dream.
That is big government for republicans.
And why they keep saying, big government is bad. And why they want to attack it.
So when any republican candidate runs for governor, or congress, with their number one issue as the economy, or reducing that big government takeover, don't believe it.
Their idea of reducing big government most likely boils down to reducing peoples rights.
Your rights to vote, for equal pay, for freedom to marry, and freedom to seek abortion when the need is urgent.
And to top it off, once that woman gives birth, they want nothing more to do with her or her child.
Let them eat cake.
