Despite toms hardware being told what to look for in these games, they wernt able to notice any difference.

"With all of that said, I went through seven different modern DirectX 11 titles looking for problematic areas that’d make for easy demonstrations, and, despite knowing about the issues and squinting at a 30” screen, came away with very little conclusive in the real world. These are subtle differences we’re talking about here. "

pretty mush what has been said in this thread multiple times.

But hightech legion were:

"In our tests, what we saw with both Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 cards was what appeared to be a wave (kind of like a ghost line) that crossed the screen at different intervals. In Batman, as you walked down the corridor at the beginning of the game (bringing the Joker to his cell), after each stop as you started walking again, there was a noticeable anomaly in front of you across the Joker's feet. In Metro 2033, as you walked out of the building (beginning of the game) and walked towards the tower, there were four areas where the wave could be seen across the bushes, rocks and overturned machinery. In F1 2010, it was visible coming out of your garage when starting a race, this happened immediately as you made the right turn and before you see the heat haze. It also happens on straightaways, where there is gravel outlining the track or overhead walkways come into view. These waves happen intermittently in different places and entire games were not tested. (Problem = Texture Filtering) At HTL, we tested default AI settings and then HQ and performance settings. At times, the image quality did improve but there was still some flicker or, as we like to call it, a wave. "

Sounds like two different issues since adjusting didnt affect the "flicker and wave"
1) little to no effect adjusting HQ,default,HP for the IQ
2) the flicker and wave

Sincerely these sites are finding problems even though turning HQ on and CAT AI off.

I'm not ecen sure people are seeing things because they are searching for them. When you think you going to find something and keep searching hard you will probably find it, even if it isn't there.
