You're like a guy who is good at math who doesn't understand more advanced math, and since you don't understand the people talking about advanced math, you think they don't know what they are talking about. So you think you're right because you don't understand how much more right the people criticizing you are.

so since you're such an Einstein why don't you explain what's wrong with my post and what's right about the post imy referring to?

I don't think advanced math in any way equates to or even serves as a metaphor to "a bowl of this of this and a bowl of that" what the fuck does that mean? It means nothing if you don't take serving sizes into consideration. I know exactly what I'm talking about and the person who wrote about a 4 bowls of cheerios being 400 calories was full of shit because most bowls hold more than a cup of cereal and it's even if only held one cup of cereal it's fucking dry and who eats 4 bowls or cups of dry cereal?

Goddamit, for the last time, of course genetics, age and a variety of other factors are involved. THAT STILL DOES NOT ABSOLVE THE INDIVIDUAL OF BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR LOWERING THEIR INTAKE. Bully for any person who can eat 5000 calories and not gain weight. Clearly that isn't true for fatties. They need to cut back, and stop trying to tell everyone else that fat is beautiful just because they're too stupid and/or weak to understand the simple relationship between consumption and weight gain.

Maybe some people just want to live their lives and be happy.

Maybe some people just want to live their lives and be happy.

Then do it in peace. Don't push your idiotic views onto the rest of us at something to be acceptable.

I speak from personal experience. You speak from your ass. :)

You seem just as angry as us about this topic but in the other direction.

Why? Because we took control of our lives and didn't eat garbage for decades and balloon up before having to reel it all in? And I need to feel sorry about this?

It always makes me laugh when fat people try to play the victim card. Don't let science get in the way, it is society who has made you fat and makes you feel depressed about your looks/health. Certainly not your fault. Or even better...it is your genetic make up. Yep, that's it. The people in Boulder, CO just have superior genes... It has nothing to do with the focus on healthy eating and consistent exercise...just blessed genes.

Stop making excuses.

looking back the past 2-3 decades it's OBVIOUS that genetics are not the reason people are fat.

as you said, people just love to make excuses. every single "reason" people have that they cannot lose weight (if they want to) is simply an excuse.

as the genius john taffer says at the beginning of bar rescue - "i don't embrace excuses, i embrace solutions."

Honestly, there's a lot of awesome looking people in Boulder. I dated a girl who looked kinda like Kate Upton (I was dating above my pay grade at that time) and she just moved out to Boulder. I spent my summers in Denver growing up. Colorado just seems to have better people than Illinois/Missouri. Granted I live near East. St. Louis/Ferguson and it's a bit different than Boulder, but still....

Perhaps I just feel your not worth my time (on this matter, I'd still pull you from a burning car lol) because you're clearly stuck in your views, so even if I wrote you a small thesis, do you really think it would matter? I don't have that confidence in the situation. Sorry.

Maybe some people just want to live their lives and be happy.

Then they should shut up, be happy, and leave the rest of us alone. As soon as that fatty who "just wants to live their lives and be happy" starts lecturing the whole world about how fat is beautiful and that people need to stop fat shaming them, they're fair game for criticism. You fat acceptance types seem to feel that social commentary only goes one way.

true, but it still comes down to being specific and realistic about portions and how your food is prepared. It's pretty much impossible to keep a "bowl" of cereal at 100 or less calories.

Another thing I remember on his list was 300 calories for a sandwich which again is not easy to keep a sandwich under 300 calories when a typical slice of bread is 100 calories and a typical slice of cheese is around 80. So you have a cheese sandwich with no condiments at 280 calories.

Use low calorie bread and thin slices and you can cut that down to about 140 calories at which point you can add a tbsp of mustard for 5 calories and probably several or 6 slices of ham or turkey to make a 300 calorie sandwich.

But yeah you can forget about adding anything like salami, bologna, etc.

A blt sandwich with 2 bacon is about 300. I didn't say cheese. SOO sorry about four bowls of cheerios being 200 each. Cut it down to two bowls and eat everything else and you'll achieve the same results.

The point was to demonstrate that if you eat normal, unprocessed shit you could eat all of that a day and be at 2500. All of it. Everyday. It's a metric shit ton of food. I also mentioned approximate serving sizes which again you ignored.

What you still can't understand is that you weren't doing this. You think a half box of cheerios is a serving. You think a blt sandwich means 'with cheese'.

What you demonstrated is that you couldn't control yourself. I don't know what you ate, but it was a shit ton more than you needed because you admittedly hit almost 400 lbs.

What you also demonstrate is that you don't understand fitness at all. I described how most people, including yourself working out, are most likely not burning quite 2500 calories. I demonstrated that my 30 minute RUN (8mph+) barely burns 500 calories. I work out 5 days a week for almost two hours and have for a decade. Your 30 minute WALK (3mph) and then 5 minutes of lifting light weights 3 times a week will not burn the 1000 calories you hope it will.

You're 31 if I remember right and I'm 29. Don't get all high and mighty about your wisdom because your max weight of 400 and my max weight of 176 speaks volumes about what you know. I've put forth actual facts and you just say 'you're wrong'. Congrats on the weight loss but you've showed all of us several times now that you don't want to listen to any proof and just argue about weight or attempt any MAJOR life changes because us skinny people just don't understand. But hey its your life. Enjoy that ham egg and cheese 800 calorie breakfast. I'm going to eat my 'bowl' of cheerios and hit the track.

Here's where you're wrong:

If he knew what he was talking about he would speaking in terms of specific servings as realistically prepared. Not pulling numbers out of his ass.

if you're counting calories you have one of these:

I speak from personal experience. You speak from your ass. :)

And your personal experiences say willpower + diet + exercise = success, which is what we've all been saying.

It's really the opposite of fat shaming here (particularly for women.) Look on facebook, or in any office with a substantial amount of women. A fat girl posts a disgusting picture and her whole whale pod says how "beautiful" and "voluptuous" she looks. A new skinny girl shows up in the office and all the fat girls are telling her to eat a sandwich, and start bringing baked goods by her desk, encouraging her to eat handfuls of M&Ms, etc. They're crab bucketing each other constantly.
Yep, most of the women at my work are fat but clearly feel comfortable enough to still visit each other's desks for candy or partake in office diabetes parties. One fat lady even organized a grazing day, using that precise title, and it is exactly what it sounds like. Given the number of fat girls I see around these days with very tight pants, I cannot think of a culture more accepting of being fat than ours.

That isn't to say many people so not shame--they do, and being fat costs people relationships and promotions, but the US must still be the leader of fat acceptance. Nothing else explains the rampant obesity.

If low maintenance, healthy, active girls are your thing, Denver/Boulder metro is hard to beat. Colorado east of the Front Range might as well be Kansas, but from the Front Range west, it is a pretty awesome state. Can't imagine me ever moving from the state.

Everything I say is correct. Whether or not you accept that is your fault/problem.

Plus, I stated earlier that other posters have already correctly refuted much of what you've said. If you were interested in what you were wrong about, you'd have already picked up on it in previous posts.
