If this guy turns out to be a closet homosexual are conservatives going to push for ban on all potentially gay people too?

Like Immigration dept are going to ask for voice recordings to analyze for inflections or proof of heterosexual sex on tape.

Ask homosexuals throughout the ME just how well they are doing. And yes all of that imprisonment and death is due to Islam. In 2016. Why defend it? When it was revealed that the Catholic Church was hiding pedophiles did you run out and defend the church? I didn't. People come up with the stupidest !@#$ to associate the terrorist with. To muddy the motivations of a mad dog of the World Trade Center bombers. Mateen was pure organized terror, nothing less.

Yet he was cleared by the FBI and passed DHS background check to work for them. And people want to keep dismissing the seriousness of his motives to something personal... A member of ISIS would be less of a direct and organized threat.

I don't imagine we'll really discover the extent of what influenced this guy to do this. Clearly a lot of shit was going on with him. I'm leery of believing most of it since so much of it is people remembering shit that they probably don't actually remember, including this guy saying Mateen asked him out.

I'm hoping his father didn't destroy all his belongings and maybe we learn something from writing or other reflective moments that he documented somehow.

Actually when his co-workers were asked about their imppression, the people he interacted with on a daily basis, said he was pretty homophobic, sexist, and racist, not radical islamist: http://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/crime/2016/06/12/who-omar-mateen/85791280/, etc. From your Latimes link on why his co-worker called the FBI:

"A former co-worker of Omar Mateen said Sunday that the man identified as the mass shooter in the Orlando nightclub massacre often used slurs against African Americans, gay people and women."

I can see how that's disconcerting to people whose co-workers would describe them the same way.

Also take note that you're liberally citing the dailymail, I'll leave it an exercise for you to research its quality as a source, though I suspect you don't care about such things.

Edit: I might not have not read it thoroughly. I will read it carefully and reply back. What fox says about race usually turns out to be racist propaganda itself, but I will give it a benefit of doubt given the magnitude of this terrorism.

Let's consider what people here would say about Jaskalas if asked by the news. For the same reason we look past the abortion clinic attack to the reasoning behind it, make no mistake because if this was an in the closet gay christian the left would have had a field day blaming Christians,

and there are people on this forum that actually are trying to blame Christians and their beliefs somehow for this discounting the fact that there is a whole world out there far more anti-gay than their favorite christian bogeyman that people like ted cruz represents that has nothing to do with Christianity, but being mentally bound by their twisted politically correct apologist nature they will perform whatever irrational mental gymnastics necessary to blame their favorite devil.

Agreed. he made machine guns a NFA item. Quite a bit more difficult to aquire. As a gun owner, i have no issue what he did. Another part of that legislation allowed me to transport long guns from state to state.

Fine, the next guy will use a Mini-14, something that was legal durring the last ban and would have still been legal under Feinsteins latest attempt. As long as you're being consistent that fundamentalist nutjobs from many different religions are behind all sorts of evil deeds they excuse as defense of their faith.

More often than not it's extremism that's the root, not any particular holy book.
