Anyone have any ideas? I tried water and everything but nothing seems to really help... I just cough terribly late at night and am having trouble sleeping because of it :\

My two year old is going through the same thing. I thought he was going to cough up a lung about 1am last night. But LadyBuggy has it right...just try different cough medicines (not all at once, hopefully) until you find one that works for you.

Get a humidifer. Probably dry air affecting your lungs. When the humidity goes below 50% for us none Arizonians, more than coughing will happen -- nosebleeds too.
If you have a low grade fever (99F to 100F) -- get checked for TB (as a dry hacking cough, especially at night, is a sign of it).
