I strongly disagree. T3 was a box office hit (pulled in $433 million worldwide in theaters alone), and Bale is a hot property in Hollywood right now.

It was a box office hit, but it ranked high on the Pokerguy Fail Scale? , it was terrible. I liked T1 and T2, but T3 sucked.

Bale is great and all but he is only as good as the script he's given. Quite frank if they follow the same cartoon formula they employed for T3 then this is going to fail like pepsi one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they learned their lesson.

Definitely! One of the all-time great action sci-fi pieces. However, is possible I would try to find the unedited version of T2 with restored footage.

So yes, I think he's a pretty damn good actor, even if the movies that he acts in tend to be average. I'll reserve judgment on the movie until it comes out, but I have a feeling Bale will be a better John Connor than Nick Stahl.

Will do. I almost bought the first one on Blu-ray yesterday, because I absolutely love that movie, but it was still a bit too pricey.

I wonder if they have this restored footage on the BD version of T2?

I liked T3. The scene with the crane was awesome. And of course naked Kristanna Loken = Win.

Sure John Connor was kind of a whiner, but he was just as whiny in T2. Plus we get Claire Danes as the female lead instead of the manly Linda Hamilton.

Exactly; the series needed a refresh after having two whiny, scrawny John Connors in a row. It needs a terminator that isn't as one-dimensional as Arnold. Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men) will be a terminator in T4.
