Terminator: Salvation Teaser Trailer

The same people who are writing the television series and that godawful Rise of the Machines penned this I believe. Low expectations...

According to IMDB, the writers are indeed the same ones that did T3.

Directed by McG of Charlie's Angels fame.

My expectations got lower.

Wow, Batman takes on Skynet!

At least they got a quality lead playing what appears to be John Connor. Whoever they picked for Rise of the Machines looked too much like a monkey and a tool. Not like the script was any good to begin with.

I'm liking the new series, so I wonder how this will tie in with that. Gotta say it looks a bit like Resident Evil "Crapocalypse".

It looks like a continuation of T3: Rise of the Machines and not the TV series. The Clare Danes character is back...just not played by Danes.

I can see the fail a mile ahead.

Man... I grew up with T2... my aunt would take me out to dinner and tell me the plot when I was a lil 10 yr old kid. I remember I was excited as if I watched the thing myself.

Then I saw it few yrs later on TV... the movie had everything- action, drama, awesome human relationships (how john had to lose his father-figure terminator in the end, etc). Awesome soundtrack too.

They churned this fvcking garbage T3 few years ago which made me want to poke out my eyes. Now this?

Just did some googling. It looks like this is the first part of a three part series, which Bale has signed on for. Guess it depends on whether it does well or not; obviously it will just having "Terminator" stamped on. The least they could do is bring in Michael Behn for a cameo/supporting role. I'll go on a rampage if one of those idiot writers thinks up another TX or uses "X" in any model desgination.

it looks ok. it has god potential. i always thought they needed a movie about what happened before T1

Don't go read the Wiki page then...

I strongly disagree. T3 was a box office hit (pulled in $433 million worldwide in theaters alone), and Bale is a hot property in Hollywood right now.

Like before johns father came back in time? What would happen in it?

Not sure what could have happened before that....

Yeah, it's going to be hot 'cause Bale is in it.

What's so great about this guy anyway? Is it because he's in Dark Knight?

Or did he do some other over-hyped film before Dark Knight?

I think the first film I saw him in was The Prestige.

He was good in 3:10 to Yuma too.

Havent really seen him in a bad movie.

Why? Lots of continuity errors and the endless whiny cries of a young John Conner.

easy. the war between humans and machines etc and what drove them to send him back and how.

i think it could be a good movie.

I suggest you watch the Series on Fox. New season in September, and they cover a lot of that. Luckily (?), it 'forgets' that T3 happened and sticks to the T1 and T2 stories.

Garbage? Not the best action movie of all time, but not garbage either.

I praise any independent film that makes more than $400M.

Let's see here. T3 was a box office hit because it was a sequel to the world-renowned T2? In sharp contrast, T1 did pretty poorly and T2 alone brought the saga into massive success.

Of course sequels sell. Look at the horrid sequels out there that are terrible but enjoy a good hit nonetheless due to the saga (I can't think a better example than Shrek 3 right now, someone help).

Heathen!

In all seriousness, throwing aside the blatant problems with time travel and all of that the movie was written, acted and directly perfectly. A far far cry compared to the schlock-fest we received with T3.

or do you mean the war preluding the bot sent but after T3's story ?
