Temps on 7800GT and GTX

I have an eVGA 7800GTX -w- stock cooler.

Idle temp as I am typing this is 45C
Load temp seems to vary from game to game, but the highest I have ever seen it go was 68C. I'm not even going to bother with the Arctic Cooling NV5 rev.3 with temps like this.

Depending on how lucky you are with your GPU, you can go quite high: mine can reach 520 / 1350.

 
My new XFX-7800 GT :
Ambience: 68F
Idle: 51c~53c
F.E.A.R./HL2:LC : 75C~79C
FS2004: 62C~64C

Do my temps look in place or normal? May be a tad warm so I'm getting an AC Silencer rev3 from NewEgg as of this posting. Would the AC Silencer be overkilled?

 
Leadtek 7800 GT extreme edition(overclocked version).

43c idle,low 60s full load.

OT: One thing that has impressed me about Leadtek is the image quality even at desktop,razor sharp.
 
I have a few cards to report in this. First off let me note with nvidia new tech these card run allot cooler than the 6800 Ultras and GT form last year... which makes things allot better all around.

here is my temps for my cards.

EVGA 7800GT's in SLI 34C - 45C
EVGA 7800GTX in SLI 37C - 54C
EVGA 7800GTX 512 36C - 53C

As you can see my temps vairy a bit, but some of my towers provided better air flow and cooling. But over all the numbers are very true and the cards run fast as light.

Damn, you have 5 - 7800 series cards?!?! Thats insane! I'm scared to ask how much $$$ that is worth of video cards :Q

 
Dual eVGA 7800GTs in Sli:

top card: eVGA 7800GT (N518) - 45c - 58c

bottom card: eVGA 7800GT CO (N516) - 38c - 52c

My non-copper HSF 7800GT won't display video in the bottom slot, otherwise I'd swap 'em around.
 
7800GT running 470/1150 with a NV Silencer 5 rev. 3:

idle: 42°C
load: depending on game, between 50°C and 61°C
 
7800GT with a VF700:

Idle: 42C
Load: 65 max

The temps were the same before/after the VF700 being installed, so I may reapply the AS5.

My card is OCed to 480/1200
 
Asus 7800 GTX clocked at 495/1300. I didn't really look much into temps before the silencer, but it idles around 43C and I saw it go above 80C a few times. After the NV silencer, it idles at 36C and never hits above 57C load, recorded with rivatuner after 30 minutes of playing F.E.A.R.
 
I've just finished installing tonight the new AC Silencer 5 rev 3 onto my 7800GT. Right off the bat, idle temp drops from low 50c (stock) to low 40c and in game load (FEAR) it drops from high 70c (stock) to low 60c. It looks like average temps drop at least 10degreesC from stock cooling fan. I will leave it like this for a while before start overclocking the alreadied factory overclocked card.
Installation took about 30 minutes including taking off the stock cooling fan, clean the old compound offf the gpu and the surrounding memories and putting the new AC silencer rev3. There was no mod of any kind done to accomodate the AC Silencer. It's happy to report a few db's drop in fan noise as well. I paid $28.99 shipped from the Egg and it's money worth spent, IMO.

Stock Fan:
Idle: 51c
Load: low 60c-high 70c

AC Silencer 5 rev 3:
Idle: 45
Load: low 60c
 
ASUS NX7800GTX TOP 256MB @ 500/1350

Idle: 34°C
Load: 62°C whilst "cooking with RTHDRIBL"...

EDIT: Standard mounted AC NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3...
 
just messing around today, going to try more tomorrow...
eVGA 518 with AC silencer rev 2 as3 applied: 40c idle 57c load
