and when ever i start my computer my cpu is around 50 / 56 C
but then it goes down to 33C *MIN* / 53 *MAX*
but there is a twist when ever i play games *ANY GAMES*
the cpu jump to 80 C :colbert:
and when i quit games it goes back to temperature around 33/55 C
so can u tell me whats wrong ??
i am using stock cooler which came with pre applied thermal paste
any suggestions :?

*NOTE : I ALSO INSTALLED TWO MORE FANS IN THE CASE WHICH IS NOT HELPING AT ALL ! *
my computer specifications are ~
motherboard - GA-970A-DS3
ram(8GB) [1600mhz] - Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9
processor - fx 8350
harddrive - samsung 1tb 7200 rpm
gpu - SAPPHIRE HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5

You are reporting that minimum temps are sub-ambient?

Which program are you running to grab temps at what reading are you looking at? I know that my 8320 on CPUID Hardware Monitor has a bugged out "package" temp reading for the processor that is absolutely NOT correct.

My suggestion is to ditch the stock cooler and get a nice aftermarket one like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ or Evo.

It'll really drop those temps.

Your Elite 310 case isn't very wide so i'd go with this heatsink/fan just to be safe:

http://www.flipkart.com/cooler-mast...ZAEZ&ref=a20b27ed-b718-4b9e-bde1-56276f58efcf

When you remove your old stock heatsink, just use a paper tower and some rubbing alcohol to clean the old thermal paste off of the processor. The TX3 heatsink will come with new thermal grease.

just a question !
1) ur sure it will fit in my case ?
2) right now room temperature is 33C so my system temp is 40 C and cpu is 37 C when gaming 80 C so will this cooler decrease the temp ?
3) i am going to overclock my cpu soon when ill buy a new mobo
so can this cooler help me overclock too ?

80C is bad, for an AMD CPU. They should be kept under 72C.

You won't be overclocking at all, with temps like those.

Because when you game that is the most tidious thing you can do to work the CPU. its going from 0 idle ,,,,,,, when you play games all 8 cores go to work,,,, IM guessing total of 40 percent load your getting 10. Idle temp means nothing. I say reinstall the HSF. As for buying one I suggest if you like things quiete to ditch changing it. Just take it out and re apply TIM and make sure its locks tight on the mobo,, you cant turn screw no more etc.......... gl

Your temp of 80c is safe. These chips can go to 105c and still work like a charm. SO no worries. If you get a new HSF like peep are saying, the noise level will be much higher.

Just try TIM again. Take out CPU and clean it and block and clean it. Then apply very minimal paste,,, one thin line with arctic or the other TIMs. gl

If all 8 cores go to 100 percent working,, that 80c might go to 95c ............ So ya looks like the peeps here are right, grab a Evo HSF cooler. gl

is the Heatsink secured properly as that's way to hot even for stock
I think its normal for that particular chip, their might still be a problem, at load in the summers here. I undervolt my rig & only do a minor overclock during this time of the year, the OP should replace the stock heatsink to get any meaningful difference in temps because unless he's got an AC in that room(or a water cooler for the room) the temps will continue to skyrocket till June !

Just a wild idea , but are you getting a lot of heat from the gpu as well? It might be interesting to see if the CPU temps go that high when you run a program that stresses the CPU only.

Those room temps are pretty high though, so you probably will need an aftermarket cooler or to cool the room down somehow.

Get a cm hyper plus for around rs2500. Also, get an AC. With such hot ambient temps your CPU will always be way too hot. These things are meant to be air conditioned in hot countries like India.

The AC itself will probably eat 2500, cumulatively a lot more because of the power tariff slabs, worth of power alone :p

No it's not normal even for stock.

Edit: Is it possible for you to turn the air own and make your room a little cooler

Oops sorry when I said they can go to 105c I was thinking of Intel

You have a AMD and the guru is right 72 or 75c .... way it looks you cant OC or OC without touching voltage. But first try reapplying TIM and install block tightly...

Also use speedfan or coretemp ...... thank you.. gl

Yes, I realized this now that the temps start at ~50 degrees but it could be a number of things that are going wrong for him viz wrong settings in the BIOS, stock cooler not working for some reason or the temp sensor could be awry for all we know.

Is this directed towards me or a question for the OP ?

As I said earlier this is normal for summers here so if he can't afford the AC(or its power bill) his best bet is to get a water cooler for the room or perhaps move the entire system to a cooler place in the house !

well yeah my gpu also goes like 80 to 85 C when it came with a nice cooler and two fans but still yeah its a hot card and yes i tried prime 95

it reached 82 C in like 60 seconds so i turned off the program as my cpu started beeping

You could move the system to in front or near the AC & turn it ON with slightly lower temps than the room to see how it goes. If not then contact the local vendor to come visit you at home, during warranty period, because those temps are "unhealthy" to say the least !

well i know bios are set up right cause i set it up my self :awe:
and i also checked the temp with couple of settings
like cool and quiet off/on and cpu fan control on/off etc

+ stock cooler came with with pre applied thermal paste so nothing can go wrong there and i checked the stock fan my self it and warning is on if my stock cooler dies ..

here are the current temp ~

note system temp is case temp !
