Costco, you just cant beat the prices, the no questions asked return policy for 90 days.

Otherwise, mom&pop or specialty shops where you might get deals, knowledgeable people, professional calibration/setup, good relationship for future purchases (can get nice discounts).

Just order online from the manifacturer.

Do not do this.

You have a bad experience?

Return policy? B&M? Great deals?

No. No. No.

Therefore, NO!

Your saying this deal isnt great?

Taps sarcasm meter, taps idiot meter, taps troll meter
Weird, my meters just shrugged and looked at each other.
Darn it, I'm gonna have to get some meter diagnostics done.

How exactly did you mean that post. You don't seriously think that's a good deal, do you??

OP, some of the mom&pop stores do a good job competing against the big box stores, especially in terms of service. Sometimes, I think it's almost a secret. Nonetheless, some of the big places, especially Costco, have some great prices.

Specialty audio/video stores generally have a much better setup and allow you to choose which one you want. They'll normally get pretty close to online deals such as onecall.

Plus they normally carry the better displays so you can get a feel for how much you want to spend.

Sears will also price match and likes to deal.

So for personal experience, two nice displays from onecall. Perfect and great price.
Once from costco - pain to get it home. Huge pain.
Others from AV store, best experience in terms of customer care.

I'm pretty sure your sarcasm meter needs work :0

What are we talking about here? High, mid or low end? Plasma, DLP, LCD or projection? If you are looking for high end, Costco won't have it. I'd highly recommend a reputable online dealer.

Check out the sponsors at avsforum, they usually have excellent deals and are very nice.

Granted, you have to do your own research but the price savings is worth it.

I would say B&M if you can wait for the fall. There will be another price war much like last BF as far as flat panel TVs are concerned.

If you want to buy now, go to Costco unless you're paying extra for it. You can't beat their return policy. Add in an Amex and you're set for 2 years as well.

I thought the Costco return policy for TV's had been changed to 3 months and an extension of the manufacturers warranty to 2 years?

Correct.

90 day return policy with no restocking fee.

2 year warranty.

Frys B&M or Frys.com

They've had a lot of great deals.

Especially on Olevia 37" LCD's 😉
Can't wait for that one to roll around again. I have a wall that is looking a little empty.

I just wish they offered the superior 537H for $599.

Those who have ordered big TVs and other large-sized electronics online - how was it shipped? Did the delivery people bring it inside, etc.? I always wondered about that.

It was shipped in the normal TV box. They have tons of Styrofoam for a reason. No damage.

The UPS guy brought it to my door, and I brought it inside.

So it was a business purchase, not a personal purchase? Sounds like you are outfitting a sports bar or putting up flat panel advertising.
