Ok, I want to buy a big screen TV with all the trimmings. I've done most of my research in regards to what manufacturers are good and what specs I want so on and so forth. However, my problem is that I don't know where I should buy the TV. I have read enough scary stories about Best Buy to stay away from them, but I am not sure if there is any other place I should be aware of or if there are really good reasons for me to wait for a sale from a particular store. I am very concerned about warranty service and replacement just like any good TV buyer should be so where ever I buy it from it must offer something great and live up to their promises.

So, what do you guys recommend? Tell me your nightmare stories. Tell me about the good experiences you have had. I want to get a bunch of opinions before making any decision.

Thanks!

Amazon. I bought mine there before the Super Bowl...now my ex roomie showed me a 56" LED DLP Samsung for $300 more than what I paid for my regular 46" DLP. I'm sad. :(

Seriously. I worked for a small local retailer for 10 years. We had BB up the road and Sears across the street. We constantly had their customers coming to us because customer service at box stores sucks.

The local guys will always treat you better and I think you'll be surprised at how not-cheap the box stores are.

Just order online from the manifacturer.

Do not do this.

You have a bad experience?

Return policy? B&M? Great deals?

No. No. No.

Therefore, NO!

Your saying this deal isnt great?

Ordering direct from manufacturers is like throwing away a 50% off coupon. You just don't do it.
