I try to make sure that I don't send out our sweatpants with the laundry service. They charge by the pound and I can wash the sweats.

My 2018 BWM 530 e is the hybrid model. I can plug it in at night to charge the battery and I also got a $4,788 tax rebate.

I don't drive much so I switched to per-mile car insurance. I pay about $20/month flat rate plus 1.3 cents per mile. My total bill is always under $25/month.
What does that insurance cover? Sounds weak.

If you want to be really frugal, skip the flossing as it isn't based on a true need in most cases.

I never used to floss, for over 30 years. Was never taught and was just lazy to start. I've never had cavities but have periodontal disease (gums, no surprise) and deep pockets that may cause me to lose teeth one day. I had it treated and now floss daily and my pockets have gone a lot closer to normal and much less swollen gums. I have to do deep cleanings and regular cleanings 4x a year. Definitely floss.

Should floss at very least once in a while. I try to do it every couple days but tend to slack, so it's maybe like every couple weeks. But still better than not doing it at all. Dentist always comments on how clean I keep my mouth.

I kept my $15 a month Time Warner internet plan under Spectrum and combine it with the OBI box for free landline phone service. I pay nothing for cell phone service on account of being poor and qualifying for an Obama phone. :) I save a boatload on healthcare for the same reason. Utilities are free in section 8 housing too, so I mine at full blast for hobby money. I live a 5 minute walk away from a thrift store which I walk to daily and get all of my furniture from. All the staff know me and offer me amazing discounts. People in my building walk into my studio apartment and think I'm rich.

Turn expenses into profits. My hobbies all pay for themselves or make money. I flip guns, knives, and tools sometimes.

I take a shower once a week.
I reuse floss.
I eat almost entirely off the dollar menu.
I dress like a hobo.
I use slickdeals and coupons.
I bought the entry level McLaren.
I flush the toilet sparingly.
I shop at the $0.99 store.
I use a swamp cooler instead of air conditioning.
I put on more clothes rather than use a heater.

awesome.

:D

OP: first thing to do is start keeping all receipts and tracking your spending. Know exactly how much you are spending, each month, in specific categories. It makes it easier to see where that money is going and where it can be cut back. I divide food and booze, because it's easier to save on booze than it is on food, for example. I also divide eating out from the food category, because eating out is a colossal waste of money compared to groceries and cooking if you know how to cook (not that I don't eat out, because I enjoy it--but for many years that was my number one most unnecessary expense that I found extremely easy to cut and, for nearly a year, I almost completely eliminated it).

Just adjusting my food costs: no eating out, setting a grocery budget and planning efficient, cheap, good meals throughout the week, I managed to free up $300-400 per month alone. That's crazy money. Well, it's not Madoka money but it adds up.

Make all of your purchases (including bills) on a good rewards or cashback card. Get free trips, vacations, money. No reason you shouldn't be doing that.

its not debatable. I can always tell some stank ass breathed mofo who doesnt floss.

it's not tooth/gum bacteria that gives you stank breath. It's the shit that grows deep on your tongue. There isn't a whole lot of known efficacy for flossing, but I doubt it hurts, assuming you don't overdo it.

It's not just the tongue, it certainly is in the gums too because of bacteria in the pockets.

The bacteria on our teeth and gums (called 'plaque') also cause gum disease and tooth decay. One of the warning signs of gum disease is that you always have bad breath or a bad taste in your mouth

Perio breath is one such breath odour. It is used to describe the foul mouth odour that develops as a result of gum disease. Periodontal disease is a dental disease affects the supporting tissues surrounding the teeth.

I now happen to floss AFTER brushing which is not traditional (but I can't stand picking out so much crap before brushing). I still manage to pick food out while flossing after brushing. If you leave that in there, for weeks, months, years - you can only imagine the consequences. Well, I don't have to imagine. What do you think hygenists do when you go in for a cleaning? Get into your gums.

Also, visually, swollen or bleeding gums is a clear sign you're in need of flossing. Some may not need it as much as others since every person (even race) is different and may be less susceptible. Every tongue is different too, which explains the breath issue only in part.

I don't drink or smoke. 100% savings and no increased medical costs or days off my life either.
Same, but it's not so much about health as me not liking alcohol and having no desire to smoke.

I also don't date, which isn't specifically to save money, but it helps. Have no kids is a huge money saver too :p
