Working in an office full of women does suck. They're all gung ho on equality, at least until a desk needs to be moved...then its "don't ask me, I'm just a girl!"

That you're going to be old for a lot more years than you are/were being young.

Enjoy and make the most of your time being a young person, it sucks when yuou realize that you have more behind you than you do in front of you.being old sucks and it sucks hard.

Confidence is over-rated. They prefer creating and sharing time with them

a lot of good stuff in this thread. Some of the negative stuff about women is really depressing though. I'm in a situation that I fear == polishing a turd until I have a shiny turd and I hope I'm not making a huge mistake with my time/energy allocation.

  • Cars are just transportation
  • People don't change, so don't expect your spouse to EVER be any different than they are before marriage (happily married 26 years)
  • Don't have kids right away! No damn reason to, and I've seen PLENTY of examples why not!
  • Raise your own kids, not your parents, in-laws, other family or friends. In other words, don't have them till one of you can afford to stay home with them.
  • Forego new car(s) for the sake of owning your own property. A couple car payments would go a LONG way toward a mortgage payment on a nice home, instead of renting.
  • You're marrying your spouse's family as well, so THINK about that before you hook up. You will NOT come between your spouse and their family!
  • I could go on and on...

How to please a woman.
How to be happy
how to be comfortable with myself and who I am.

Since 50% of marriages fail, it's probably true 50% of the time!

From my personal experience, its 100% false!

All I can say is that at 25, I didn't see life the same way as I did at 15, and certainly not 5. Perceptions change, and so does your outlook. I'm 29 now, and I'm fairly certain I don't see life the same way I did at 25 (I also have a family now, and that probably contributes heavily).

I'm past 25 and I have one car that is just for transportation, and another car that is my toy. All the guys over 30 that own Porsches, Corvettes, Z's, Ferraris, and other enthusiast cars obviously feel that a car isn't just for minimal transportation. It's a hobby for a lot of people, including myself.

All those things you keep saying you'd like to do and see, and places you'd like to go someday...Do them now! Life gets way more complicated later on and it gets easier and easier to find reasons not to. Carpe Diem!

It's a hobby for a lot of people...

Having a family usually puts "hobbies" on the back burner. It's all about priorities. That's what surge84 needs to know, before ending up a 50% divorce statistic. 25 year olds think they need to spend a lot of time and money on cars to get women. If that's what your "women" want from you, you're very likely to end up a 50% statistic.
