Televangelist 'blows wind of God' at coronavirus

Influential pastors on Christian right diminish pandemic’s impact in messages to followers

American televangelist Kenneth Copeland, who recently claimed that the coronavirus pandemic will be “over much sooner you think” because “Christian people all over this country praying have overwhelmed it,” has summoned the “wind of God” to destroy the novel coronavirus during a recent sermon.

Before blowing at the camera, he said: ”I blow the wind of God on you. You are destroyed forever, and you’ll never be back. Thank you, God. Let it happen. Cause it to happen.”

Leading a chant surrounded by members of his church and preaching to an empty room, he called out: “Wind, almighty, strong, south wind, Heat: Burn this thing, in the name of Jesus. I say, you bow your knees. You fall on your face.”

Oh, but this isn't the 1st time Kenneth has taken on COVID19...

He also has compared the virus to the flu and suggested people who attended his services could be healed in person.

“If we have to pass out thermometers, if we find one with a fever, let’s get him healed right there,” he said. “What do you do if you get it? Big deal.”

Why don't we have these guys in the front lines? Bring them to NYC - they can cure and convert us!! I mean, they have machines and the powers of God. And, last time I checked, the devil is easily defeated by the powers of God alone. The machines are probably there to cure the atheists... good idea. Then I'm sure they will donate, I mean, believe and follow these pastors.

Thank you Lord, for sending these powerful and technologically advanced champions of Christianity into our lives!!

On a serious note; this is some downright evil shit. Lying to people like this. Downplaying the severity of COVID19 and then using lies to fool people into following you - especially at a time like this where medicine and science are key to fighting COVID19.

Any televangelist is in it for money and not for Christ. Therefore, no Christian should ever pay any attention to them. Not sure how they convince the masses.
