So I can get a Celery C2 533 and slap (ever so gently...) it in there without NEO and it will work without any adjustments? I did last night and it worked fine

It doesn't say how much Video RAM is included... is it a shared memory issue? or does it have 4 or 8 onboard?.... pretty sure it's got 4mb and the rest is shared, not a 3D powerhouse ;)

what is an AMR slot or Audio riser slot? it's a special slot optimized for OEM parts like software modems and soundcards generally useless

Thanks NP

Hehe, did I uncover a really hot deal that everyone has been longing for? :) If these motherboards truly support PIII's at 100 Mhz FSB, then this mobo is a gold mine for those of us who build cheap systems on the side! :)

So, what's the consensus? Will 100 MHz FSB PIII's work in this without any Neo adapter???

If A Celeron2 will work, theres no reason a P3 coppermine won't... Guess I could "borrow" one from work and test that too....

BTW, when I booted the Celeron2, the bios called it a PIII (hmmmmmm)

For anyone who has received this board... what else came in the box?
IE: cables, manual, driver disk, ATX connector plate.

you guys....

I ordered mine this morning; hopefully I'll get it by monday and can be the first kid on my block to test it out;

I'll be using my own p3 550 to test it; so hopefully it works right out of the box.

rigor had to be right; 810's were made for p3's

errrr, I'm trying to remember... I got this board about 5 months ago...
but there were two manuals, (one for MB, on for 810 stuff) a couple of cd's, one IDE cable, and a floppy. I don't remember an ATX I/O shield... oh and a motherboard..
Doesn't it say on the website?

well; you should never post until you get in;
if you had questions about it; you should have posted a link in tech support area; although the next model up isn't a bad deal either at $49; just double the price.

Keep 'em coming though, and thanks

There are two versions of Tekram i810M+ and two version of i810ML. If you read Tekram web page carefully,

*Hardware Version 2.01 is required to support Pentium® III CPUs. S381-M/ML mainboards currently sold on Tekram's Online Store are version 1.01 that DO NOT support Pentium® III. *

So, you do need the powerleap neo to get PIII working on this motherboard. Anyone know if the powerleap neo support this motherboard?

if u go into the bios you'll see the FREQUENCY/VOLTAGE CONTROL. ....
from there your see the CPU HOST CLOCK .. and their u can change the FSB .... up to 140 mhz.. but i haven't overclocked that high..

well i don't know about the P3 coppermines.. since i thought u only need an NEO adapter.. but im probably wrong about that ..since officeboy found out from tekram..they just don't have the pci 1/4 divider for 133 mhz...

ps. this video ram takes it from the regular sdram... takes 4 megs.

Crap. They seem sold out. Ok, here's my question. I have a PII-266, which I've upgraded just about everything except the mobo/cpu/ram. If I go buy a new mainboard/cpu (probably just the cheapest celeron I can find - I'd love to go duron, but I'd have to screw with my power supply and I'm not about to do that) will I be able to use my existing EDO RAM? I know this stuff is ancient, but I'd like to just throw it in there and have it work, then be able to save for good RAM in a few months...

Also if anyone has an old celeron mobo/cpu they're looking to junk... :)

M+ has 4M vedio RAM onboard, while ML just uses part of the system ram. Also they use different 810 chips, I think.

I was watching those cheap MB on tekram for long time. I did not order one just because it said it won't support PIII, so I assumed it could not support C2 either. Now it's gone!

Weezerdude or Office boy:

Since Celery II's seem to work in this board do you think PIII Coppermine such as 650 would work in this board?

Thanks

Yes I belive they will.
Of course if you cook it it's not my fault...
But if a Coppermine-Celery will work, why wouldn't a regular Coppermine?

Because a P3 coppermine has a different pinout than a c2 coppermine (I'm pretty sure!)

Anyway, NO, just like the BM6, this board can run a C2 but not a P3 coppermine!

(At least the early revisions of the board!)

I've got the board; but no s370 or fc-pga cpu to test it on.... I was waiting for a braver soul than I to test it all out....

Argh.

Just get a C2, put it in, and set it to 100FSb, and ya got a 850 (give or take, depending on what C2) MHz cracking machine :D

What about setting up like 5 or 10 of these things in a BeoWulf Cluster? Would that work very well? Ya could have one FRICKIN powerful computer if ya had 5 C2 850's hooked up together........
