Teens kills parents, has party...

Taking a break here from the depressing debt ceiling threads to post about something truly repulsive which perhaps will remind us that there are a few things we can agree on:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...rida-killingtre76i74x-20110719,0,609291.story

Cliff's notes:

Teen bludgeons parents to death with a hammer, possibly because they refused to let him have a party at their house.

With parental objections now out of the way, teen sends out Facebook invitations and has 40 people over at the house for a party.

The party goes on with the parent's bludgeoned corpses in the master bedroom...

Not going to say anything cliched about the moral fiber of society breaking down. I just never cease to be amazed at how far human beings will sink. 🙁

It took place in Florida so he will get off and make a ton of money by selling the movie rights and "writing" a book.

This is beyond sad.

Well, Florida is the second biggest capital punishment state after Texas. However, it looks like he's being charged with second degree, so that is now out of the question.

looks like he's being charged with second degree
If they determine that they were asleep when he murdered them, any chance for an upgrade to first?

"He was always a good kid," neighbor Raeann Wallace told local TV station WNPV
Funny how often we hear that about killers...

he must've been hammered when he nailed his parents.

all kidding aside, there is no excuse for this tragic event. no counseling will help. life without parole and a Koran are the best options

jesus christ, stfu with the whole 'moral fiber breaking down' and 'downfall of humanity'. take some fucking history lessons and learn about what humans did to each other not that long ago. people have been doing horrible shit since the beginning of our species. just cause some fucks with a camera phone and a journalism 101 degree from a community college can post about everything on the internet doesn't make it some sort of new pathologic problem humanity is facing.

Well that was rude, and not very observant of what I wrote to begin with.

Not going to say anything cliched about the moral fiber of society breaking down.

I explicity am not arguing a breakdown in moral fiber. I think some frequency of pathologically evil behavior is fairly universal, so I don't see it as something trending in the present day.

Amazing how you can start a thread about something which ought to be relatively non-controversial and someone has to figure how to behave like an asshole.

Didn't they downgrade it because of his age?

Aparently under Florida law he is ineligible for the death penalty because he is under 18. That is separate from the fact that he is being charged with second degree, which is a second reason he won't be eligible for the death penalty. I guess at this stage the cops don't have any evidence of pre-meditation. The second degree charge does have additional significance, however. He won't be subject to LWOP.

If they can find evidence that he attempted to throw the party before killing his parents, it might be enough for pre-meditation since he sent invites out pretty much right after killing them.

Anyways, the part I find pretty fucking nuts is that nobody turned him in until the party was over.

w00t PCP party at my place. Everyone bring a hammer.

I was reading this weird book called the bible where this geesus guy is killed by nailing him to a cross, and aparently it's based on a true story. Humans can be pretty crazy sometimes.

Did I mention this kid may have been high on PCP or something? It would explain the random craziness of it.

I guess they learned something from the Anthony incident.

Justice is one thing. Free beer is another.

Taking bets on how long it takes before he claims that his father sexually abused him from the time he was 9, and that his mother stood by and watched.

It always is difficult when I try to imagine if I were in this kids shoes and then I realize it is just a different world for some of us us.

It's obvious the kid can not be a part of society, but this is frightening to me not for what the kid did, but for societies willingingness and requirement to remove his freedom in order to function.

I don't know, it's a pretty tough comparison between killing your own parents with a hammer and chopping up someone else's kid. Personally, I lean toward killing your own parents with a hammer.

I guess chopping up someone else's kid wins the heinous contest. However, there was something about having a party with the corpses in the house that creeped me out about this one.

Whites commit some of the most fucked up crimes.

You have that sicko killing an 8 yr old. That sack of shit Anthony let her own child's body rot. And now, this disease minded freak.

Wait, now I understand where most of you are "coming from" when posting your thoughts,...

What a racist piece of garbage.

What a racist piece of garbage.

I am white. And, I call them as I see them.

The mom that drowned her 5 kids in the bath tub; white.

The man who killed his pregnant wife, tried to hide the body at the bottom of a lake with cement only then to flee to Mexico with his brother's passport/ID; white.

The racists that dragged a black man tied to chains behind a pick up truck; white.

Dahmer; white.

Manson; white.

Son of Sam; white.

Who hung black people from trees in the USA? Whites.

Some of the sickest crimes are indeed commited by whites.

Hey, ever see American Psycho? Yup, he is white. Even the "entertainment" media portrays whites are sick fucks. Devil's Rejects? Friday the 13th? Nightmare on Elmstreet - all white. The Dr. in Human Catipillar? W. H. I. T. E.

Where there any non-white clients in Hostel? How about Saw? WHITE.
